I just purchased the Vita Mix 5200 and have a smoothy question.
A few times when making a smoothy where you need to add water, after the smoothy has sat for a few minutes, you can see where the water and "solids" have separated. The water has settled on the bottom and the veg/fruit blend is on top. I then have to re-blend to make it drinkable.
I am blending according to the recipe but have seen this happen.
Any comments?

Yes this happens but it can not be avoided.
Well it can be avoided by eating it sooner. This would also mean less oxidation.

Heavy stuffs goes down; lighter ~ bouyant ~ stuffs goes up. Is what it is. If you don't drink it right away, put it in a container where you can fill it to the top ~ and shake before drinking.

Whenever my smoothies separate, I just shake it to mix it up or turn on the blender and give it a quick pulse!
