Hey all,
I've been eating raw for about two weeks now and loving it. My entire diet so far has consisted of homemade meals (green smoothies, raw pasta and sauce etc). I just found a local place that has premade raw meals and I was over the moon that they had them. They are by a company called Awesome Foods (http://awesomefoods.com/products.asp?category=Meals) and I've seen them on ww.rawbart.com when he did his thirty days raw. I got the pizza. This thing was delicious...best meal I've had while raw. Though I experienced a much different feeling after eating the meal. I felt a little heavy and sleepy. Usually after a raw meal i just feel pumped and energized. I looked on the package and there were some ingredients I don't usually see in raw literature. The crust is flax and it also uses granulated onion and garlic. My questions are these: What are some users' experiences eating raw meals? Are my reactions to the meal normal? Are the ingredients included constitute "real rawness" and do they include all the proper enzymes?

I would assume it has to do with oxidation....

Well, the only experience with prepared Raw meals I have is when I ordered the Box from Matt Amsden (RawVolution), at Grezzo, and at a couple of Raw Restaurants I've eaten at. When I ate from these I didn't experience that feeling at all. Even when I make meals from Alissa's books I feel energized. I know that if I go back to SAD eating I will feel heavy and sleepy. That's why I don't want to eat that way.

The only way to make SURE that something is truly RAW is to make it yourself. Alissa makes that easy for you! :)

I eat these all the time! I personally don't like the pizza, but their Kale & Hemp seed salad, Not Tuna salad and Lasagna and they are awesome. Their other snacks and crackers are good too.

I met one of the companie's employees when he was restocking at the Whole Foods where I purchase them and they are the real deal. They're great from time to time for busy people like me who don't have the luxury of time and need someone else to un-cook for them.

Awesome Foods has delicious food. My top recommendations:
Lasagna, Pizza, Taco, Spinach Quiche, Better Than Turkey Salad, No Bean Humus, Tempuraw. Make sure items are very cold before you taste them, rather than when first receive. You can freeze most items if you need to.

Here's a special discount they gave me to give out:
5% off $40 code: put NewRaw in the memo area
You may want to also follow up with an email & mention Dimond Health to ensure you get the discount.
