Welcome welcome welcome!!!

Welcome to the 30 day challenge.

If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!

Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!

We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!

WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.

We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!

In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.

Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,

Cherie

Sorry it has been a few days ago that I have been writing in the forum, I have been feeling a little sick I have a very bad cough and hardly can sleep.

Still on my juice fast and now on day 23 already still feel ok and nothing wrong with energy levels.

My juice still is made from Celery, Cucumber, Spinach, Parsley, Carrot, Tomato, and Lemon.

If anybody has a good idea to help me with my cough that would be great, but it should not have sugar because I have diabetes.

Thanks in advance.

Hey all!! I have totally forgotten to post here with my foods! I am still RAW...100% and am loving it. I have felt great up until yesterday and then had a headache, achiness, and grouchiness. I know it is detox, but that still doesn't make you FEEL better. Today is alittle bit better, but still kinda grouchy. I am starting to just eat the same things everyday, and I am getting bored with that. I feel hungry and I want something heavy, but I am out of nuts and seeds......

I am getting ready to make a spinach, banana, pineapple smoothie and then dinner will be "taco night" for my family, so I think I will make some guacamole, pico de gallo, and I think I have just a few more walnuts left and can make a "taco meat" type mixture.....I wish I had some raw chips or taco shells, but alas, my dehydrator is still not fixed!!! We got the parts in, but DH lost the screws and knob...so we can't get it back together!!! I think he is going to get some small screws from the hardware store and I will have to order a new knob!!

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

I woke up this morning and my tummy just didn't feel quite right. Today's menu:

green tea/water
2 kiwis
banana, apple, orange
jalapeno burger
avocado fries
cheez-its

I'll probably have another burger later, along with more fruit.

imaquillen - Could you by chance share your jalapeno burger recipe with me. :D I actualy haven't been going 100% raw this month that's why I quit posting. I blame it on my cravings for a jalapeno, "circular dish cut into pie like shapes", that I get at the cafe down the road. Lame excuse I know....but that's the only one I can come up with. :p

I ended up fermenting some jalapeno's to try to curb the cravings but......

I did do a search too and found one recipe that uses walnuts. But I would also be interested in your recipe too. Anything to help me get back to 100% raw... ;)

And congratulations to everyone that's been staying raw all month. I bet you all feel sooooo GOOOOD.

About three heaping tablespoons of hemp, sweetener of your choice to taste, I did lucuma, cardamom, cinnamon, my favorite, and some raw cocoa powder. About a cup and a half of water, blended that baby up in my vitamix. I didn't feel the need to strain it. Really delicious

I"m not great at keeping up with the posting. I have already lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks and this is with very little exercise, LOL! I feel awesome and am very excited. I have made a couple slip ups, but not too bad, mostly they had to do with not being prepared and eating what was easy.

Today I had a Smoothie for breakfast
Lunch Tomato avacado and spinach sandwich on onion bread (afavorite)
Dinner kale rolls with a nut pate, avacado, cucumber, and carrots.
a Lara bar and an apple for a snack. :) MMMM Good Eats!

Tsp of cayenne pepper, juice of 1 lemon, 2 tbs of honey, apple cider vinager, mix it all up and take a spoonful. The raw honey should not effect your diabetes. Its dosen't mine. If your still un willing, raw onion and garlic will help too. ;)

Thx for the recipe for the cough.

I'm not long in to raw and I started with a juice fast first and still taking the juice.

That is one of the reason I do not have much other raw things in my home besides the vegetables I using for the juice but ok a garlic and a uinion I can find but I believe the taste would be bad, anyway I will try it.

Thanks again.
