hi, Denise here or Summitheart - as you wish

My son gave me a green smoothie from his back yard dandilions about 3 years ago and it appears that without real concerted effort, my diet has been moving rawer and rawer all the time.

The goal is all raw - I am not there yet, but progress is relentless as fewer and fewer of my "old" favourite cooked foods even taste good anymore. (I do keep trying - stubborn habits).

I live in the far north - Whitehorse Yukon Canada - its -34C here today. (Add more nuts to keep warm - raw soaked and dried).

I have a blog that chronicles my progress - the aim is to encourage all progress towards raw without judgement.

I liked the comment on Allissa's "rules of engagement" about the goal of eating simply, eventually, with the fancier prepared raw dishes as treats and garnishes. Makes sense - I find it impossible to eat a whole meal of those 'fancies' - too much.

Look forward to participating - any other NORTHerners feel free to send me an email.

Welcome.
We all realise that it is harder to eat this way in a cold climate but it is not impossible. It just requires more planning.
You are obviously motivated and where "there's a will there's a way".
