Hi all!
Every time I go raw, I get these cut-like sores in the corner of my mouth...like in the crease of my lips if that makes sense. Eventually they go away, but I only get them when I start eating raw.
Right now I usually have a salad a day and lots of fruits. Maybe a green smoothie on the weekends. Is there a deficiency in my diet perhaps? Anyone else experience this?

As long as you are getting ENOUGH greens and ENOUGH fruits you should be good. Are you eating any seeds or nuts? Avocados? Check your fat intake. I don't get cut-like sores in the corners, but I do get sores on my inner bottom lip and I think it's from eating a lot of oranges and grapefruit. I can't stop they're just too good this time of year!

Hm, this didn't happen to me when I initially went raw. But last year, when I bumped back and forth between raw and er, quite not raw, I got those same little cuts that you are describing. They're better than detox zits but still not that great!

Busted...:D I'll try committing to being 100% and see if that helps! LOL
And BlackKat, no, I haven't had seeds, nuts nor avocados. But I will start including them in some of my meals.
Thanks alot! :)

For me it seems to be lack of B vitamins. If I have some nutritional yeast or some such thing with B vits, it goes away.

Thanks for your responses B.L. and Aleesha. I guess I need more variety in my raw food choices to make sure I am getting all the nutrients I need!
