Hey guys! Just looking to see if anyone has experience with this.
I went off raw and have noticed within the last several months that nuts are a migraine trigger for me.
Has anyone with migraines had nuts as a trigger pre-raw, and had that improve after going raw? I also have some GI issues with some nuts (macs and brazils, most notably).

I never had a problem with nuts but do not eat them anyway.
I use seeds to get my fats as I have more control over my omega 3 to omega 6 ratio. You are supposed to keep it balanced and nuts give you huge amounts of Omega 6
You do not need nuts at all.

No I do not make any seed milks. I usually crush my seeds in a coffee grinder and add them to my smoothie.

I have issues with migraines, and mold + yeast is a HUGE trigger for them... think back to pre raw days with blue cheese, wine, etc. a lot of times nuts can have mold spores on them, even if you can't taste. especially the ones already shelled. I've tasted mold that wasn't visible on brazil nuts especially, when others could not, and have had crazy migraines from them. ALso, some amino acids are triggers as well, and nuts are high protein/ amino acids, so that could also be why. ANy other migraine triggers?

I only eat seeds to balance my omega 3 and omega 6 and nuts are too high in omega 6
I get omega 6 from other sources so just need to increase my 3.
If I ate nuts I would have to eat loads of flax as well to balance it somewhat and that would be away too much fat.

I am allergic to peanuts and almonds. Maybe you have allergies? one of the symptoms of allergies is migraines.

That'd be too easy - I've been tested for allergies - skin and blood testing - and I'm not allergic to anything! I guess I'm just "sensitive" :D

The ratio of omegas you need depends on where you live geographically.

This sounds pretty likely to me, considering that you don't have any allergies. My mom used to get really intense, immobilizing migraines from things that involved aging - most cheeses, things like wine, chocolate... do you know how you with those sorts of things?
