Hey guys.

I've been doing raw since X-mas, and I've gone from 5'10'' 145lbs to ~135lbs while I've been eating MORE calories than when I was eating cooked...:confused::confused::confused: I can't afford to lose the weight... I WAS eating around 2200 kcals, and am now at about 2400-2500 kcals.. and I seem to be getting skinnier.. what gives?

I eat 2 large green smoothies per day with lots of mangos and bananas... almonds, avocados, seeds, honey, lots of other fruit.

My parents are starting to freak out on me, and I don't want to lose anymore anyways.. lol.

Thanks.

often when people come to raw they release weight and then their body finds what is referred to as their 'true weight'. so in essence... it goes down and then comes back up to a healthy place naturally.

you could of course add avocados to your GS...

Thanks for all your kind advice in all my threads, Aleesha. :)

So you would expect that this should stop eventually? lol.. I hope. I am going to start doing some resistance exercise and walking a few miles a day to get some more exercise, so I figure I'll eat even more now.

and... I freaking love avocados.. guess I'll have to eat like 3 per day now. :D

yup it's stop. this is very common when thin people start on raw foods.

The same thing happened to me and my family reaction was the same but without changing my diet I normalised again.
I did not get back to the weight that I started on and even though I did not put much weight back on I did look as if I did. I no longer look skinny but a healthy normal woman.
