Hey guys.

I was researching about liver cleanses and was planning to do one tomorrow, but I came upon many warning in regards to epsom salt.. and how you can fatally overdose on it.. The liver cleanse here recommends 4 tablespoons for the entire cleanse over a day or so... my question is, is this safe?

I was all ready to do the liver cleanse tomorrow and now am rethinking. Do I need to be worried?

thanks!! if I do go ahead with this, i'm going to use one teaspoon instead of one tablespoon for the epsom salt. either way, i feel like it would be a good idea. my liver has been an annoying pain since I quit the ssris 2 months ago.

Lans experience was no doubt due to all the ailments he had. Look at the list!
So many do these with no problems at all and have good results.

The dose is all spread out over into the next day. I have never had any problems.

Liver cleansing is a profound way to amp up your health in my opinion!

my doctor and I were discussing liver cleanses, and he is planning on doing one himself as an experiment just so he can have the stones analzyed in a lab. I will let you guys know all the details after he does it :). anyway, he was saying that if you do have gallstones, and are indeed passing them through such a cleanse, there is a possibility of one getting blocked which is painful and dangerous. You would have to go through some kind of process for at least a month or more ahead of the cleanse to soften up the stones... .god knows how the heck one would do that!

a safer way is to use n acetyl l cysteine, a cheap amino acid. They give it to small children in the ER that have OD'd on tylenol. It is proven to detox the liver. you could also eat beets and dandelion greens :)

The malic acid contained in apples and eaten over a long period of time reduces stone size.

Ayda Clarity is also said to eliminate stones.

The epsom salts in this cleanse is for two purposes. One is to open the valves and allow the stones to pass. This also is a laxative and flushes it all out of the colon.

I have done about 12 liver flushes, and all of them have only improved my health. Although, I will say this: I do feel that the liver flushes were something I needed to do at that point in my journey, but I feel since changing my diet and alkalinizing my body, I will need them less and less in the future. There were some legit reasons I needed to do liver flushes when I was younger, I'll spare you the details but it was gross, and it had nothing to do with "gallstones". I do not believe the flush flushes out gallstones as they say BUT- It DOES flush out your liver which can be very beneficial depending on your situation.

I am actually flushing on wednesday night. It will probably be my last one for some time. When I flush, I only use one tablespoon of epsoms, awhile before drinking the mixture. I found the two unnecessary. I also do a salt water flush *with sea salt, not epsom* the following morning which is like a colonic, except you don't have to pay a hundred bucks for it. :D
