Hi everyone!!!! *BIG GINORMOUS HUGS*
I am back, to rawfoodtalk AND my rawfood lifestyle. I've been bad...so bad y'all. :o When the holidays started to approach, my caseload at work seemed to multiple and on came the platform by which I could make excuses. I started eating a bunch of cooked veggies and starches (the baked potato was soon to be the death of me!) out of "convenience." Really I just didn't take the time to plan, to keep the things I needed for quick raw meals on hand and now I'm suffering because of it.
I gained back a few pounds, but that's not the worse part. I feel SOOO sluggish. Ugh! I hate that most of all. I'm not sleeping as well as I did when I was eating raw, my energy level has just plummeted. So baby I'm back!! Oh yea...well, not quite. lol
What I decided, was to do what I did last time...the master cleanse. It did a wonderful job of "resetting" my palette. I'm currently on day 8. The past 4 days have honestly been a water fast because I caught a stomach virus that was going around at work and just haven't been able to handle anything more than water.
I'm soo excited to be back on the path, to soon feel my energy levels rise again, to feel wonderful again!! I've spent the weekend looking through my raw food uncook books (Alissa's and others), picking out my first meals after the cleanse. I'm simply giddy! :D
THIS, is a mistake I will NOT be making again. No sir, no ma'am. I know what my body needs and I have learned the hard way. Laziness is not a valid excuse. My Excalibur, Vitamix and Greenstar juicer are ready to get down and dirty once again! :p
...so glad to be "home." :)

Hey DebB!!! Thank you for welcoming me back! I'm SUPER excited! I just looked up and said..."What am I doing?" The life in living foods gave me such a "high" and the lack of energy in cook foods seems to have just zapped it all out of me.
I think my first meals will be a HUGE green smoothie for breakfast, some Pad Thai Lettuce wraps for lunch and a marinated kale salad for dinner...or some zuchinni pasta (Still so grateful to you for telling me about that spiralizer on QVC!) . I'm so excited, just thinking about it!!! :D

LOL ~ You're one excited raw foodie!!! Love that! Wow ~ your first meals menu sounds heavenly. You're coming back with a BANG!
Yeah - gotta love that QVC spiralizer - just used mine today, twice. I finally used the slicing blade - which I'd never used before  I peeled a cuke (non-organic) and then I layed it on its side and sliced, end-to-end just halfway through. Then spiralized it and it gave me paper thin slices for the salad I was making. I love the different textures in our food!
Again ~ welcome back, this time stay PUT - ha! *Ü*

it's so easy to use and what is great is you can put a pic in it as well. i put all my recipe directions under the "directions" heading rather than putting each item into the list of ingredients. this way i can simply copy and paste from the net right into mac gourmet.
you can rate your recipes... i love this program. AND... they are updating it all the time. so it's always getting better (for free)

Woo Hooo!!! :D
Just got home from the store(s). Picked up: avocados, tomatoes, onion, kale, lettuce, cashews, cucumber, zucchini, red and yellow peppers, bananas, garlic, dates, flax seeds, kelp noodles, dulse flakes, cacao powder with maca...yea, I think that's all. :D I'm excited!
I was bummed to realize upon unpacking that I forgot my sundried tomatoes...not sure how my sauce is going to taste for my zucchini spaghetti.
Tomorrow is my last day of the master cleanse....oooh, my tummy is excited. I had a "first meals" list that I shared above, but now I find my body craving gazpacho. Yuuuuuum!! We'll see how this goes! I'm literally dancing in my seat as I type this, I can BARELY contain myself!!!!
ETA: I forgot the broccoli, grapes and carrots!

I have so many goodies in my kitchen that it is extremely difficult for me to not abandon my Master Cleanse and dive in! :o Tomorrow is my last day, day 10...but I'm craving avocado and cucumbers like crazy!!
...trying to make it through!

I can't wait until morning to fix myself a HUGE smoothie!!!! As of right now it looks like it's going to be: kale (which I LOOOOOVE), banana, and maybe a little cacao powder with maca. And maybe some frozen mango, not sure about that yet. But for SURE there will be LOADS of kale!!! :D:D

Ooooh, just had an idea! I'm going to grind some flax seeds and throw them in my smoothie too! ...can you tell I'm really excited about this smoothie? :p

Oh my goodness, today has been a great day - food wise! :D My smoothie for the morning consisted of two big handfuls of kale, a table spoon (or a smidgen more) of raw coconut butter that I forgot I had, tablespoon of cacao powder, 2 small bananas, ice, a splash of almond milk, and a little over a 1/4 cup of ground flax seeds. Yea...I got a little heavy handed with the flax seeds, which made it a little grainy, but it was still very yummy!
I had to run into work for a few hours, but when I got back. I sliced up a cucumber and used them to dip out some guacamole and spicy pico de gallo! Soooooo good I almost bit my finger trying to eat it. My intention was to use it in lettuce wraps...but I couldn't stop myself. :p

I feel AMAAAAAAAZING this morning! Simply amazing! The cleanse ended on Tuesday. Wednesday was a 100% raw day. Today, I had another huge green smoothie: Kale, banana, coconut butter, cacao, and ground flaxseeds.
I'm so happy to be 100%, my body is blissfully happy once again! :D:D
