I want to buy a yoga app for my iPhone but there are so many and I can't find any that have a decent rating (or many ratings in some cases). So I thought I'd ask you all here.

Anyone have one they really LOVE. I want to begin doing yoga again at home, at the beach (when it's warm), in the park etc. So I'd like it in an app so it can come with me.

thanks!

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions for an app, but what about borrowing books from the library - finding one you like & bringing it with? :o

Hey Aleesha,
I don't have an iPhone (..yet?) but I went searching to see what I could dig up for you. Not sure how helpful it will be for you, but this person seemed to put together a really good comparison list. Maybe it can help you decide? I just noticed that it was compiled in April of 2010...so in retrospect, it may not be relevant anymore. I'm not sure at what pace the yoga apps are being cranked out though.

okay i ended up choosing yoga trainer pro. i read a very detailed review about it and think it'll be a good program for me. $1.99 - not too bad at all.

I hope you like it! After you've used it for a while, please report back and let us know what you think of it.

I'm on the fence about whether or not I'm going to get an iPhone. I've been a Palm fan girl for a looooooong time and truly adore my Pre Plus. What really has me seriously contemplating the iPhone is Mac Gourmet. :D

Yes!! That's exactly why I want an iPhone! So when I'm at the market/grocery store and can't remember all the ingredients I need or have an epiphany (Ohh, I'd like "xyz" tonight) I can just whip out this handy dandy app! Mine will be RAW Gourmet as well!!

I was talking to my daughter about it earlier today (she knows how I feel about Palm and was shocked to hear I wanted an iPhone. When I told her why, she laughed and said, "I should've known!" :p

To get back on topic....I'm still crossing my fingers that you'll love your new yoga app!!

monk this program is like a book... it's got so much info in it that you read!

just way cheaper than a book and no trees are killed in the downloading of this program (that i'm aware of anyway...)

so far... it's good!

so far i'm liking this a lot. it's simple and has a LOT of info on each pose, the different forms of yoga etc etc etc.

definitely worth the $1.99 (or more actually)

i love that he says each pose in sanskrit... teaching you how to pronounce it.

The way I see it, in general, we live in a world where many people want to complain about everything. The ones who come forward, are mostly the ones who want to speak their mind about being done wrong. *

There are those of us who are "enlightened" who seek to dwell in gratitude.
So we spot that energy a mile away. Simply noticing.

Me, I decide, not based on someone else's ideas or opinions but rather from my own perception of something....and usually that ends up being something MORE that I am very grateful for. Add it to my list! yay!

Unfort, we live in a world that bases what it does on others "reviews". Too funny. Reviews can be good yet they are simply based on the color glasses (world view, perception) the other person is looking through.

Glad you found what you were looking for Aleesha!!! yay! <3
