I thought I would share with all of you a method I learned in the holistics class I took in college last semester. The professor for the class is a Qi Gong master, and he taught us a method for detoxing the body. It is really simple. You take 2 cups of solar salt (like you use for a water softner) and add it to a hot bath(water should be as hot as you can handle laying in). Take a quick shower afterwards to rinse off. If you have dry or sensitive skin, don't do this everyday or do it for only a short period of time. He said this should not be done if you have high blood pressure, though. I have been taking a bath for about 20 minutes each day along with my juice fast, and I think it really helped me get through the worst of the detox fast. For someone that lived off fast food and soda for the past couple of years, I really only had two bad days of detoxing.

you should not take hot baths while fasting. your blood pressure is lower and it isn't good for your heart. a warm bath is fine though.

what i do is this: i start with a hot bath and after 3 minutes i add cold to cool it down. that way i get the 'hot bath' experience without too much distress on my heart. ;)

something else that is really detoxing...

pour your bath and add clay to the water. i use green clay but you can use whatever is cheaper in your local health food store (or the one you prefer). add in himalayan sea salt and a little aromatherapy if you wish. make the water as warm/hot as you can (and again if you are fasting have it a bit cooler than hot) and lay in it for 20 minutes. you can rinse off afterwards if you wish.

VERY detoxing!!! i did this lots during my 209 day fast to bring my body to a deeper state of clean.
