I always knew I had a problem with wheat, bu did not realize it was this bad until tonight! My husband brought home pizza and it was calling to me in all its cheesy goodness and I caved and had ONE slice. With in 1 minute my throat was itchy and started to swell! I had to take some benadryl to get it to calm down. Now as my husband says, "Mi Es-Stommochoooooooo It hurts!" Never again! I will not do that to my self again!

So sorry about this.
You need to have a talk with him and your family that they need to support you. It isn't a fair game if they going to try to make eat this SAD food.
Hope you feel well soon

There are several different gluten enzyme supplements out there. I have some gluten-ease on hand in the event of ingestion of wheat. I am not sure how well it would stave off allergic reactions that are immediate (mine are sensitivity reactions that are delayed over days), but they are supposed to help you digest it better and suffer less, I believe. I've not had the occassion to really test them well.

Thanks for all the comments. I was just worn out that night and not in the mood to cook something. Weirdly this is the second time I have had a reaction like this to this pizza, Papa Johns, but this time was much worse, last time it made my mouth itchy. I usually just have tummy issues when I eat wheat, so I was surprised ath how severe this was.
My husband dose try to be supportive of me. He bought me some fun tools for the kitchen and a ton of vegis the other day. One thing I will not do is force him to eat a certain way and he dosen't force me. His mother is a whole other story. She actually yelled at me and said "Just because I am diabetic dose not mean I can't eat sugar, as long as I stay at 40 carbs a meal I can eat what ever I want! I am sick of people telling me diabetics can't eat sugar " It has gotten to the point where we no longer have Sunday dinners anymore becasue she wants to bring KFC while I want to have home cooked meals with lots of fresh food.
I am really loving Raw Foods and love the way I feel on them. As a former Foodie I am having fun experimenting with new foods and recipes!
I just have to learn to have some easy food ready when I am in a rush or don't feel like cooking.
