I have found a great way to use chlorella powder that really works well as a simple way to spice/enhance food and get calories. Because I tend to love savory foods and try to stick with low fat options, I wasn't getting enough calories & losing too much weight. Adding chlorella powder to various meals allows me to get in more. Chlorella powder is something I've been using lately to flavor foods instead of using fats or just to enhance meals like soup. For example, I'll have a salad and squeeze a bit of lemon juice, then add 1-2 tsp chlorella powder & if I want it spicy I'll add some cayenne. Same thing if I use avocado in the salad. You can also add it with olive oil and/or apple cider vinegar. I've used it with a simple chopped cucumber salad. With soup, I may add 1-2 Tbs. There's many ways you can experiment with it in recipes.
Make sure you use a good quality, raw, organic brand as the flavor may not be as pleasant. Not to mention you won't be getting same same nutrition. Alissa does sell some in her store for those who prefer buying from her.
