Does anyone know if the white part of the watermelon rind have any nutritious value?

I did some research on the web and came up with something like this:
"Bruce (UK Living Foods Centre - trained under Ann Wigmore) says one should go ahead and juice watermelon rind because it is the area of the melon where the minerals (even zinc) and many of the enzymes are concentrated." I assume he means the green part of the watermelon rind. I could not find information that talks about the white part of the rind alone.

I juice the entire thing as well. It would be too much work to seperate them anyway.

Aleesha and sport, thanks for replying.

But I found a watermelon rind website! Check it out.

It says the green skin part is bad while the white part inside the skin is good! I am glad to know that. I think the green skin part imparts a tart favor to the juice. (Yes, I tried it a couple of times.) I don't mind cutting off the skin part as long as I know I am not throwing away nutritions.

Interesting site.
I have never seen yellow watermelon.
I am surprised that the white is better than the green as I thought that I read somewhere that there is chlorophyl in the green. I juice mine and will continue to do so green and all. I can sometimes drink 3 pints of it and it has never upset my tummy.
Perhaps that comment was meant for sissy SAD fooders.
