Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we donít want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,

This afternoon I went to the grocery store, and horrors! Only dark green bananas! They look like they will only be ripe in a week! Lol, perhaps its time to try a new type of smoothie with something other than banana...
Around the next corner, regular carrots $1.98, Organic carrots $7.95. The way I go through carrots, that can be an issue..I winced a little as I placed a pack in my shopping basket.. and get this: They don't taste nice at all, bland! They had better be very extremely nutritious!
Is organic food also about 4x the price of regular food all over the world? I live 800km from the nearest city in a very remote town, but fortunately there is usually a good selection of fruit and veg :)
tvillemom, I love reading your posts too, always interesting!
breakfast: green smoothie with banana, cucumber, spinach and chia seeds
lunch: DON'T LAUGH!! nori rolls AGAIN! With avo, sprouts as the 'rice', capsicum. Guilt-free never felt this good!
corn on the cob x1
2 segments of orange
dinner, salad with a little bit of savoy cabbage, tomato, capsicum, carrot, zucchini, avo and sprouts, sprinked with some flax seeds.

JEANNIE: I hate to hear how expensive your food is!! Here, a pound of carrots are .88 and organic for $1.70, so maybe double the price, but not that bad. If carrots cost that much here, I could not afford them!! I love nori rolls, but haven't had any lately, as I have not really had the money to go to the HFS lately:rolleyes: Things will get better, soon, I know it!!
I have been eating really simply and enjoyed everything I have eaten!
clementines (I have alot of them so I am trying to eat them before they go bad)
apple/walnuts/banana w/ cinnamon
dinner: an avo...yep, that's all....with taco seasonings on it and it was soooo good!! It was just enough, I wasn't that hungry, so it was the perfect amount of food.
Today, I don't really know what I will eat. I am out of apples, but have bananas, and walnuts...AND I dried some sprouted buckwheaties in my oven on low, so I think I will have them for lunch, like cereal w/ banana etc. We'll see.
EVERYONE MAKE IT A GREAT RAW DAY!!

Holly smokes - it would be cheaper for us to ship some to you!
I live in the dessert so everything is expensive. But organic carrots are about $1.29/pack. I bought one of those xtra large sizes they use in a health food store for $15.00. I live in the desert also. I love florida oranges but can't get them here. Alot I can't get.
My food plan is pretty much the same as yesterday.
I've fallen in love with collard greens. I mix it with apple, orange, strawberries and mango. Delich!
Lunch probably will be to finish kale salad (didn't get a chance yesterday).
2 clemintines a few hours later
Dinner - a nice big salad - want to try a recipe for tehini dressing.
I may make the sweet potato casserole.
I found a recipie for lemon coconut maccaroons - delicious. I look for recipeies without dehydrator. Will be a while before I get one.

I would like to jump in here if I can. I have been all raw since the 5th when I started a juice feast, but now I'm done with that and I want to stay all raw. I could really use the accountablity!!
So far today I've only had some carrot/celery juice, but I have some nuts soaking and some sprouts soaking. I want to make Alissa's Italian wraps today, onion rings, and avocado skins!! I can't wait.

Fruit smoothies are my new best friend. Banana, strawberry, blueberry, some ground flax seeds and raw almond milk. I've been having a large one every night for a treat. (Anything wrong with that?? For some reason I almost feel weird enjoying something so much on this raw diet.)

Hey! My Whole Paycheck actually came through for me for once. They are having a sale on local organic greens - 2 bunches for $3 (last organic bunch I got at another market was $2.69) so I picked up two. I see lots of Kale Tahini Salad and Kale chips in my future! ^_~
So far today:
Green Smoothie (banana, mango, pineapple, kale)
1 3/4 Kiwi's (I ate what didn't go in my Sun Conure's dish)
Lunch I am planning on making this Broccoli salad recipe I found. Dinner will most likely be Kale Tahini Salad (Russell James' recipe...soooooo gooood!!!!)
Have a lovely day everyone!

I've been really busy with school work and have been exhausted in the evenings. Still going strong on eating raw, but really hungry. That's ok though, because I have lots of food, though it's time to make and try something new. Today's menu:
green tea and water
granola with almond milk
miso soup with sesame seeds
onion rings, corn chips with cheez
dinner will probably be a large salad

Hey to all! Enjoying reading your posts. Mine raw journey is going very good. I love the GS I've been making. What a great addition to my raw journey. I'm having one in the morning and one at dinner.
I find that organic is about twice the price of regular but the prices are reasonable.
Breakfast--GS with mango, banana and spinach
Lunch- Huge salad with normal stuff (and cuke dressing)
Dinner- rest and the last of the chili--yummmy and GS

My famous TOMATO SOUP for lunch and dinner...
The only thing this day is lacking is a Cucumber Celery Spinach Juice... Nom nom! Been craving green juice all day...
I'm actually not too hungry tonight. I will probably wake up starving at 3am though. :D *affirmation* Tee hee...

I had another wonderful, big food day! A huge green smoothie for breakfast, I've enjoyed the frozen sapote I scored from the Asian supermarket, wonderful in smoothies. A big salad, lots of snacking on fruit. A little snacking on seeds, nuts.
Most of my greens are organic but I'm getting good deals on regular fruit but this is fruit that gets peeled. I'm eating so much but I can tell that my stomach is shrinking.
This has been actually reasonably easy, and I'm sure the missing link has simply been more fruit in my diet.

Today i ate:
- Smoothie: 7 bananas, lettuce
- raw chocolate
- 6 oranges
