Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

In the evenings is much better but the problems is in the morning I almost cannot or do not want to move anywhere not sure was is the root cause.

I'll start this day with a green smoothie (kale, spinach, strawberries, apple). First I'll share some of my husband's juicing to be social (carrots, beets, beet greens, apple, lemon). Now that I know how delicious GS are, nothing stands up to it.
lunch is sweet potato casserole and salad
dinner will be lite - I'm enjoying chopped apple with shredded coconut, dates, pumpkin seeds. and a little agave.
I'll probably enjoy a couple of clementines in between meals to maintain BS and my favorite, kiwis before bed.
Enjoying how light I feel. Thank you for suggesting the 30 day challenge. It is everything but a challenge. Nice and simple.

Hi everyone!
Today I wasn't feeling nearly as hungry as yesterday! lol, I guess we just need to be in tune with what our bodies need, and that is different every day
Breakfast: green smoothie with lettuce, a spinach leaf, banana and some flax seeds
lunch: nori rolls with avo, sprouts and cucumber
Dinner: more nori rolls, this time with carrots, sprouts and cucumber (I could eat these every day, and I do eat them almost every day! I am addicted!!)
About 8 pecan nuts

I'm starting off my day with a GS. Will go for a run about an hour afterwards, then I'll have a giant salad. Don't know what I'll have later in the day. I've been avoiding a plan lately and just going with the flow. Listening to what my body wants seems to work well for the most part.
I hope everyone has a great day full of great food!

Going strong. I think my favorite thing is Alissa's onion dip. So freaking good! I got some kelp noodles that I ordered and will make Thai wraps tonight. How do you guys do your Nori rolls? I ordered some nori sheets and they will come in pretty soon. Had a massive craving today. I got through it by eating something that had salt and fats. I am good now.

So far today I've just been grazing......
Some dried nori sheets with cold-pressed olive oil and Celtic sea salt. Yum!
A couple small oranges (actually, not oranges... I can never remember all the different kinds of citrus out there).
Dried mango - yummy...
A little raw tomato soup made in my Vitamix for breakfast - my favorite soup!

Wow, I read other peoples posts and realize I'm eating way, way more food. Tee hee hee!!
For one thing, my job as a caregiver for senior citizens is very physically active, so I'm burning calories like mad. But I know keeping myself fueled keeps me from relapsing on junk.
But even more than that, my body feels very nourished. I feel wonderful, I'm not struggling with eating raw like I did in the past. Its all of that fruity energy......

I made some yummy raw pancakes last night in the dehydrator and topped them with blue berries and a bit of Cream Cheez. Yumm!
Lunch was a Avacado, tomato and sprouts sandwich on onion bread. I can not get enough of this! Plus a kale salad with tomatoes and sunflower seeds.
Dinner a green smoothy! Love these too. My little Oster blender is handling them ok, so I am very happy!
I feel like I am eating tons of food, I hope its possible to loose weight eating this much!

Don't worry about how much you eat as long as it is raw. In fact eating to little is worse for weight loss. ENJOY!!!
Just a heads up to try the Thai Lettuce Wraps recipe in Alissa's new book!!!! Props to you Alissa. Best raw food dish I have tried! Love! Never tried the raw kelp noodles before. I will have these on hand from now forward! I will admit I made 2 adjustments. It calls for 4 different sauces. I skipped the curry sauce and used the cashew dipping sauce for the sauce on the noodles and I added cilantro. I will have this again and again!!!!!

so today was day 6 for me on my juice fast...I drank mostly water today...
I had one big glass of juice this morning. I juiced a granny smith apple, golden delicious apple, 2 carrots, 1/2 a pear,a handleful of spinach, and some ginger. It was so good. I love the kick the ginger gives it, and it really helps me from feeling so cold.
I weighed myself this morning, and so far I have lost 15 pounds!!! - in just 6 days...well, that is motivation to keep going for the full 30 days!
