I know this is odd...but I really, really dislike the taste of olive oil and always have. So many recipes call for it. Is there another oil I could substitute? Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

Most oils will work; try flax or hemp particularly. The best choice imho is avocado, I usually swap oil for it if texture/consistency allows (like corn chowder ;D).

Safflower oil
Grapeseed oil
Walnut oil
These should all work too :)

Thanks for the suggestions! Are any of those very strong tasting?

I buy avocado oil at the Farmers' Market. THey make one with just avocado oil and one with Lime added. I usually use that or coconut oil. The avocado/lime isn't what I would say strong, but I think it tastes like what it is as opposed to something like veg oil that just tastes oily.

I have only tried the safflower oil & I don't remember it really having a taste....
Hope that helps!

Almond walnut and sunflower oils are all light tastes IMO.

I am not a fan of any oils and like to use chia seeds soaked and blended in water. I use 1 T chia in 1/3 cup water.

Thanks again for all the rec's and ideas. I got some hemp oil today and used it to make Alissa's dressing. It was pretty good. Will try some of the others too.
