Hi everyone, I'm new to this and just starting day 3 of 100% raw. My prior diet was horrible; lots of processed fatty, sugary, salty, foods, etc... I also smoked cigarettes which I quit on December 26th. I chewed nicotine gum until starting the raw challenge, and have not had any nicotine the last couple of days.

So, I understand that I should be expecting some uncomfortable detox days. I've been able to weather it just fine. But, on top of that, I have a nasty sinus headache this morning. I'm hesitant to take a sinus pill when I've already got several days of detox behind me.

So the question is... is it in my best interest to take the sinus pain medication or am I better off to let things run their course as I continue to detox? What's the general feeling on OTC drugs and the raw lifestyle?

Do you have Alissa's first book, Living on Live food? She discusses detox and how important it is not to take meds to stop the symptoms. They are you body's way of telling you that something is wrong. It may stink to detox (even literally), but once it's over you will feel so much better!!!! So, grab that bull by the horns!!!!! You can do it!!! Just keep doin' what youre doin' to cleanse. Trust your body! When it's done cleansing it'll let you know by rewarding you with great health! :)
