Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

Hello,
I can't believe how well I feel in such a short space of time. I don't feel sluggish or as tired as usual (which I put down previously to having a demanding job) and I have not had any bad cravings.
I am really enjoying my daily green smoothies and had to make the raw sushi/nori rolls again yesterday because they are addictive.
I am aware that although I have eaten a lot less (in quantity) than I used to, I am not going hungry because the quality of my food is so much better.
Best wishes to everyone else.

Good Morning,
Today starts with 4 glasses of water with lemon
green smoothie - My husband is juicing carrots, apple, beets, oranges and grapefruit - so I will take some of that juice and make a smoothie by adding my greens - kale, spinach.
For lunch - amaranth with mango and romaine, I may make a smoothie since I know how to make them correctly now - I can understand why they are made 2 -3 times a day now! What a great feeling and lasts the whole morning.
Dinner I'll finish off my salad I made last night, who knows, maybe I'll make it into a smoothie!
Before bed snack - kiwis
And pplenty of water throughout the day
And everyday constitutions still continues with it raising to 2x/day. This has me shouting for joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me too! I can't believe how little my body seems to be needing. I really don't feel all that hungry, those green smoothies are a lot more filling than I thought they should be. Good thing, as my grocery bill had gone through the roof the first few weeks, but getting it under control now!
Breakfast: Spinach and banana smoothie
Lunch: I can't call it lunch because I have little bits throughout the day, which was a nectarine, half an avo and a few macadamia nuts
Dinner: Wasn't very hungry, just had a few mushrooms, capsicum , sundried tomatoes, and a little bowl of date, cacao and cashew nut ice cream.

Doing great. I haven't had time to post but I am still 100% Life is good. I think I haven't been drinking enough water as I have been feeling a bit too dry. I will bring up my intake. Happy with all the raw foods I made last weekend as they have kept me going strong. I wasn't crazy about the lasagna... too much garlic for my taste but everything else has been delicious.

Drinking some Ginger Kombucha now.
My LOLF book finally came this week, so I may try one of the recipes in there for lunch.
Friday is anime night with a friend, so I may just hit the salad bar at the Whole Foods.

Somebody has hacked our space and I'm just a little bit fired up about it!!!
Today's food has been great so far:
apple/walnuts/raisins/cinnamon
now it's time for a late lunch and I'm not sure what I want
Food is getting boring because I've been eating the same thing because I've been too busy to get creative. I think I will get myself in the kitchen and make something NEW!!
I DID soak some mung beans, buckwheat, and alfalfa for some sprouts soon!! I can't wait for that and I am going to make SURE that I put them in a great dish or wrap so I can feel excited about what I am eating.
Lunch: maybe a blended salad!!
Dinner: a bowl of salad with greens, walnuts, olives, lots of veggies and stuff like onion, spices, etc lemon squeezed for a "dressing". I always like herbs like basil and parsley w/ some lemon...it add such flavor without the extra oil.:D
Even though I commented that I am "bored" I know that eating something cooked is NOT an option! I am sticking to the PLAN!! I feel great and have a great attitude about what I am doing!!

I think i may be detoxing, I feel tired and sluggish today.
Breakfast was an avocado on top of a mixed sprout salad, and 1/2 pomegranate.
Lunch- on the go and didn't have any thing planned so it was a larabar.
Dinner- Flax chips and guac, portebello mushroom steak and spinach and I cracked open a young coconut I got today I was dying to try it out! It was very good! I can't wait to try an ice cream made with it.
I feel like I was a little heavy on fats today and low on greens. I will try to balance that out tomorrow.

I'm doing great!! And I directly attribute that to allowingmyself tho eat lots and lots of fruit. Although I'm certainly getting my greens in too. I was happy with my batch of flax crackers, I needed to pretend that I had bread......!

Wow today was kinda fun. :D
I worked from home, I had the best day this week (fewest contractions, most energy), and I made SALES for the office too!
And I ate a shockingly large quantity of food for me. :D
1 c. coconut "icecream"
1/2 large Pummelo
1 green pear
4 c. salad (spinach, kale, mixed greens, kalamata olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, oil + vinegar dressing, etc., etc.... when I do salads, I go Big or go Home. *giggles*)
Have I mentioned, I love Raw? I'm enjoying ignoring the cravings. I know, I'm crazy. *LOL* But... I have GOALS... I want to be in tip-top shape before Junior makes his grand entrance and I can't do that eating mostly-Raw as well as I can eating ALL Raw.
