Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

Hello everyone!
Started off this morning with water and a long brisk walk with a friend and my dog, felt good!
I got a little more adventurous with some recipes today, have been sticking to basic simplicity before..... but the time has come to have fun and branch out
Breakfast: had leftover green smoothie with beetroot leaves, lettuce, banana and grapes. Will leave out the grapes next time, the skins floating around in the smoothie were a bit unappetizing. Handful of dried apricots.
My mandolin arrived in the post today, so I absolutely had to make something with tiny little carrot matchsticks, so I made nori rolls with carrot, lettuce and avo filling. Oh I love nori rolls, could eat them every day they are so delicious!
Dinner: Marinated mushrooms with red pepper, parsley, garlic, olive oil, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice.
Dessert: fruit salad with nectarine and blueberries

Another day of vegetable juice but today I put in a lot more spinach and it was so much more smooth I liked it very much.
Today I almost took 4 litre of juice and about 2 litre of water I went on and off to the toilet but at least I washed as well some bad things.
hope everybody not have problems with the raw challange and they all will hang in.

Today I'm going to have a big green smoothie after I finish my litre of lemon water
lunch I'll make guacamole with tomatoe and use romaine to put it on. and some sprouts to top it off.
dinner will either be the kale salad or the cauliflower salad - I'll see what I'm in the mood for.
kiwi before bed
I notice I want less and less to eat. I seem to be satisfied with the delicious tastes I do have and no need to tru and fulfill that empty spot anymore.
still having a daily if not more constitution. This is a miracle indeed. It's been over 50 yrs I didn't have some type of laxative, colon cleanse, enema, prof. cleanse. I'm amazed, glorified, blessed. It feels so good, emotionally and physically not to have my focus on my belly all the time. Now I can get my brain working again!

Sorry I missed posting yesterday, was still down with this awful sore throat/cold I've had since Christmas.
Today I had a big glass of fresh squeezed OJ (my favorite thing ever)
Kiwi
Banana
Clementine
Apple
Got some raw crackers at Cafe Gratitude and ate the whole bag (6 crackers).
Salad with tomatoes, cukes, pumpkin seeds, green onion, olives and Alissa's dressing. Again though my throat is burning after eating it. :(
Planning on just a smoothie for dinner

Good evening everyone,
Today I had two bananas, half a green smoothie (bananas, strawberries, spinach) and some home made pico de gallo (tomatoes, cilantro, red onion, jalapeno, garlic, lime juice)...mmmm just typing that is making me want more, but it's too late to eat I guess. :(
Stay determined!

Is it really already almost a WEEK into the New Year?
Wow. I had no idea... that's what happens when you take time off "life" for a few days!! :D
Move is complete! All belonging from old house moved into new apt, and now I just need to set up my little nest for Baby Greenie.
100% Raw and Rawkin' and Rollin' over here... chowing down on some coconut icecream for dinner. Otherwise today I just had a gigantic Pummelo, some soaked Walnuts, lots and lots of H20, and a bowl of Spicy Corn Casserole (dehydrator casserole).
Yesterday was super simple and I didn't eat enough. Baby Greenie complained. So today I ate more. :D
I love RAW!!!
And my Body loves it, too. :)

I seem to be eating a lot more than everyone here. But, regardless of the fact that I'm chowing down, I've lost 8 pounds over the first 6 days! Here's what I ate today:
GS - 3 bananas, spinach, lettuce, grapes, strawberries
2 oranges
a few almonds and a fig
carrots and raw salsa dip
banana
leftover raw fettuccini alfredo
raw chili
grapes and raisins
carrots and raw cheesy jalapeno dip
I'm still having fun trying out new recipes (mostly my own concoctions). Sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't....

My 6th raw day:
clementines
apples/banana/walnut/raisins w/ almond milk and cinnamon
another apple for a snack
dinner: blended salad (like GS but with veggies)
GREAT DAY!!!
