Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

Sorry I didn't remember to get these threads ready for you all. Here's what tvillemom has to say about today:
I KNOW someone will start the official January threads....but being that it's New Year's Day, I guess someone forgot to start a place for us to post our daily food and such.
Today's food: WONDERFUL!!!
clementines...a few of them
Green salad w/ romaine, spinach, brocolli, celery, hemp seeds, lemon, onion, avo...yummmmm
Dinner: I feel like a sinful treat and all I have available is frozen bananas and berries, so I might have some banana ice cream to celebrate DAY 1, SUCCESS!!!

Great day so far. Im so excited to be here doing this right now, at this time in my life. I am feeling like my time is here to do this. I didnt get to eat until 3pm due to there being nothing here to eat, so I went shopping. So far today Ive eaten:
Handful of almonds, prunes, macadamia nuts, apple, orange, grapes, cherries, coconut water(wal-mart actually had young coconut!!Yippee!)
Tonight I will be having a large, green veggie salad and maybe some fudge balls later if hungry.
So can't wait until my high BP is down and some other health issues start clearing up. I expect to drop quite a bit of weight in this 30 days, most of which will be water weight. The last time I went raw for 90 days I lost 25lbs the first month. Hoping to see that again!

Today went really well for me
I had a few bananas, apples, a green smoothie, salads, handful of nuts and berries
I had to go shopping as well and I was a bit sad at the selection at walmart. Nothing was really ripe as far as fruit, tomatoes, avocados. So I'll have to wait a few days to even eat the ones I did buy. Im glad I was able to get a nice salad made though that was the peak of my day.

Today was super easy and had a fab relaxing day!
Still have to cook for Mr Carnivore, but guess what? I had no temptation whatsoever, which was quite surprising:D
This was my menu for the day:
bananas
goji berries
almonds
watermelon
apple
huge salad with tomato, lettuce, capsicum, cucumber, parsley, all sprinkled with lots of chia seeds
carrot juice and tomato juice

So far today I kept things simple. I generally eat simply most of the day now because of my work schedule and lack of food prep time, but I have fun on weekends. :D
Super Green Smoothie (*all kinds of craziness inside, get you a recipe in future but today it's too much to remember... it was a gift from a friend - I normally make GSs with less than 5 ingredients. :D)
Bananas
Apple
Little slice of raw fudge
For dinner I may throw some corn and cashew cheese and tomatoes in the dehydrator for a casserole or I may just gnaw on some Romaine lettuce and nut pate. Haven't really made up my mind... if I were to listen to my stomach, I'd go with nothing and just go to sleep. LOL
But I know that's stress from moving and other things today and not my Body's needs talking - and Baby needs to be fed. I feel hungry even if I have no appetite.

Well, my first 'raw' day is coming to a close. It's been good and I've eaten a lot of good food. I'm eating extra due to some nicotine withdrawals. Here's what I've had today:
- 2 green smoothies (kale, bananas, grapes)
- large green salad (red lettuce, spinach, onions, sprouted mung beans, etc..)
- Spaghetti (DW found a raw recipe online using zucchini as the noodles.. yum!)
- Spicy veggie juice (carrots, jalapenos, celery, tomatoes, peppers, cilantro)
- A few raw almonds and unsweetened raisins...

green tea x 2
water (not enough)

salad x 2: spinach, tomatoes & sunflower seeds
dressing: sunflower seeds, olive oil, agave & lemon juice
apple x 2
Love seeing what others are eating!

I am done eating for today and it went very well
early am: banana ( wasn't really hungry from my nonraw new years eve meal)
mid morning: green smoothie ( 2 handfuls of spinach, handful of these micronurtrient greens I got from trader joes, 1 banana, some frozen berries, 1tbsp ground flaxseed and 1/4 of an avocado). It so yummy & filled me up for about 2.5 hrs.
afternoon: I had some frozen mix veggies ( broccoli, tomatoes, corn, peas, carrots) and kidney beans soup that I heated on low in organic veggie broth from trader joes. I took it off stove prior to boiling. I hope this is considered raw. I wanted something warm in my belly. I took a tbsp of flax seed oil prior to eating soup.
snack: apple pie larabar
dinner: same as afternoon- veggie soup
I was very satisfied today and ate every 2-3 hours. no headaches, no cravings. raw foods actually gave me energy when I felt a bit sleep prior to my afternoon meal.
I also took super colon cleanse 3X as recommended on bottle and my multivitamin.
I hit up wholefoods this evening and trader joes last wednesday in preparation. So I have enough raw foods to last me until the weekend.
Ready for Day 2- which I think I may start with a braggs acv & water drink to "cleanse" my system.

Tommorow I start my tree day fast, I am nervous but I think it will be a great restart button...

Nothing this morning but water. Later on I made juice with some spinach, carrots, celery, an apple, and some bluberries. I didn't finish it. Just wasn't hungry or thirsty.
Lunch/Dinnertime- Zucchini pasta with tomatoes. I think I put in too much garlic cause wow!! Talk about tasting it later. Saved the leftover for manana. GOtta buy more zucchini.
I have some frozen fruit. I think I will make something else for later on if I am in the mood.

Hi Raw Friends, I had a great raw day in spite of a detox headache from a certain popular caffeinated beverage.........
A hundred percent day!!! Wow, did I pack back a lot of good food:
four oranges for breakfast
Six bananas and vitamineral green in a shake
A whole cantaloupe and a whole cucumber in the mid afternoon
And for dinner a lovely slaw featuring fennel, with an apple for dessert.
Sound like a lot of food? Yep, it gives me the energy to be very active........and cheerful! I'm here to eat and enjoy life!

Wow, I am having fun !
I started my day with lemon water (do this every morning).
Then Greens - kale, roamaine, apple, lemon.
Lunch was a small salad with 1/2 avocado and 2 slices of sprouted 'bread'
Treat in afternoon was a fruit smoothie - strawberries, cherries, pear
Dinner - marinated bok choy and snow peas. I bought the wrong seaweed so that was a disappointment.
Dessert after dinner - barley/spelt combo with soaked cashews and agave Dinner was on the small side.
I may have a kiwi a few hours later if I am still awake (for my blood sugar).
I have planned out many recipies to purchase what is needed for next few days. Rather exciting! I love to play in the kitchen.
From reading everyone's posting, seems like I ate alot, but it really wasn't.
But I am going to try the mono meals of one fruit. Yum!
Sure wish I had a dehydrator. The one I borrowed didn't have a temperature guage, so temp to high to use. (I've put in my request with the universe to provide me with one!)
Thanks for the support !

OK, Dinner got complicated. :D
I made Habanero Mushroom Casserole (my own recipe, an old favorite from my previous 100% raw stints)... and Romaine-Avocado wraps... and mango and chocolate-whatchamacallit, courtesy of Baby Daddy who has decided that he's going to support me in the raw... for the most part. :D
Probably because he knows to avoid the wrath of PREGNANT Cancerian Goddess Warrior Women. :D

Unfortunately I am still sick, sick, sick with a nasty cold that I caught on Christmas. So my first day I was smoothie girl.
Green smoothie in the am.
Cucumber "rolls" filled with avocado and a nut/seed/veggie pate I threw together in the processor.
Pear in the evening.
Haven't been eating much because my throat hurts so badly. Not too concerned. I will keep at it as I am getting over my cold.
