I can't remember which thread you said this but it was interesting to me. You said dark circles under the eyes = kidney detox. I found that interesting. So as the kidney detoxes those circles should disappear?? How does one do a kidney detox??? Just eat raw and do green smoothies?????

nope. if you have dark circles... you could do a kidney detox!

there's many ways to assist your kidneys with detoxing. fasting is great. watermelon juice is particularly good IMO.

eating raw will detox your organs.

doing a cleanse. i love cleansesmart and recommend it to people because it's so gentle. but there's a new raw cleanse out by garden of life that i bet is wonderful. i looooooove garden of life products!

Do you mean just doing a watermelon fast may help? How many days should one do it to achieve some result? I know everyone is different. But what is your suggestion? Like 3 days or a week?

no i'm not talking about a watermelon fast at all. i'm saying that having a litre or two of watermelon during your day or on your fast would be beneficial. but doing a watermelon fast, if you are up for it would be yummy. remember watermelon juice with one or two strawberries juiced in it is divinity in liquid form! another good one is mint juiced in with your watermelon... mmmm good stuff.

and joyce it depends on the level of health. if you are healthy and eating healthy then an extended fast is no big deal. if you are very unhealthy and eating unhealthy and go to an extended fast... that's a totally different story.

i started with 9 and 10 day fasts and felt comfy with nothing more than that for about 5 months when i first came to raw and fasting (which were hand in hand for me). then i went to a 21 day fast and from there a 45 day fast. later that same year i did an 84 day fast. right now i'm doing a much longer fast... today is day 203.

taking it slow, listening to your body and staying mindful is a good way to gain health IMO.

Ok I checked out cleansesmart--kind of overwhelming --lots of different types of cleanses. I'm guessing the best way to start would be with the one that is for first time cleansers. What ya think?? My over all purpose is just a good cleanse--haven't done one--and only been raw since August.
