Hello, I am "siennagray". I live in the upper midwest US with my husband and 3 dogs.
I am working on increasing my raw food intake to improve my health. During high school I worked with natural health practitioners and followed a customized, healthy diet to get my eczema under control. However, I have had worsening eating and health habits since I met my husband, which has resulted in increased eczema in addition to other symptoms of worsening health. My husband and I want to have children soon, and I am working to get healthier both so that I will have the energy to keep up with my kids, and so that I can instill healthy habits in them at a young age.
My current dietary goal is to have two raw meals per day. My husband is not interested in leaving the SAD behind at this time, however, he is open to green smoothies and partial raw meals. My mom has been largely raw for about two years. Like many other people who have gone raw, she has experienced major changes in her health as a result, and is a real inspiration. She also helps provide motivation by giving me raw books, and this Christmas a blendtec!
I've really enjoyed many of the stories people share in this forum, and it looks like a great community to be a part of. I look forward to getting to know some of you a little better, and sharing information and inspiration.
