Vitamin Code
Women's Formula
Is anyone taking this? or know anything about it,as far as safe& effective.Have seen this at my health store(VERY EXPENSIVE),dont want to pay all that money and find out its just a company slapping raw on stuff and makeing money off ppl.
I have a serious pill phobia(workin on that),but it's time I start taking supplements and a daily vitamin.Im 5 months raw, took a few natural pills when I was sick, but other then that I haven't took anything.Im a bit confused as some of the information is contradictive.
From what I have read I want to daily take ... A muti-Vitamin
Msm poswder and a B-12 supplement, would that be sufficient for an over weight chick on a raw diet ya think?

I do have a bottle of Reshi & Resveratrol,if I was to start the above supp. would it be okay to add those daily or would that be over kill and should only be used when the immune system is compromised?

Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated!!!

I believe that the only vits that you will not get from your food are B12 and D. If you are not getting sun (or washing with soap after you get it) you will need D. Otherwise you only need the B12.
If you are eating raw fruits you will be getting away more of things live vit A and vit C than you need so I would not spend money on supplements and ask your body to have to clean out the extra artificial ones that it does not need.

They seem to have taken some care with the ingredients. Everything seems to be raw and there is even a touch of dried juices!

If you want a good, cheap multivitamin then look into something like alfalfa and seaweeds (like kelp). You can get your vitamin C and smost nutrients from your fruits and vegetables and then these supplements will round out your mineral requirements.

As far as the B12, It doesn't say what type of B12 it has. Methylcobalamin B12 is better than the cheaper version Cyanocobalamin. I buy the expensive methylcobalmin. Some people don't supplement with B12 and I used to think it wasn't needed until I found out that mercury destroys B12 and mercury is everywhere these days so I think B12 is a good idea.

It doesn't say what the vitamin C is made out of. If it is ascorbic acid then it is useless. Ascorbic acid is just the "container" that holds the other parts of the vitamin C family. In fact, eating ascorbic acid tends to drain the body of vitamin C because then the body sees all these empty ascorbic acid containers and fills them with the other parts of the vitamin C family.

Thanks so much for all of the information an advice

Will be buying some Methylcobalamin B12 next week, diddn't know there a diffrence between them just figured B12 was B12.What's a good mg to start with,I was thinking of the 5,000 one that you take every 2-3 days and should I look for cap/tablets/or chewables?
I go through about 3 containers of sprouts a week, but I have slacked off from eating my nori wraps.I bought some fresh salted seaweed about 3 months ago,I cant find an experation date, does it go bad?.I wasn't a huge fan of the taste but for my health I will make an effort to eat more.
