I've always been an exercise nut. My room is filled with workout videos and books, dumbells, kettlebells, resistant bands, you name it. I've tried endless fitness routines with ridiculous movements that "guaranteed" strength or flexibility or stamina and would freak out if I missed a workout. However, since going raw I've shifted away from these "exercise routines" and instead of my mind telling me I need to workout, my body simply craves movement. I don't exercise entirely for my health anymore but rather for the joy of moving my body. I seek out exercises that incorporate more natural movements; martial arts, gymnastics, dancing, jump rope, etc. A rule of thumb for me is to do something I can giggle while doing. I can't seem to find it in me to giggle while lifting weights lol. Perhaps you do, it's just not my cup of juice. I suppose my question is, do any of you find more joy in physical exertion while raw?

I do for sure! I find myself moving and "exercising" a lot more.
Lots of yoga, I love the rebounder and just got a yoga swing. All of these things I play with and move intuitively. I too have moved away from my weights and stringent exercising. Good for you, have fun with it!

Yes, movement is often more of a spiritual practice now, which makes it so much more fun and beneficial. I like doing different types of dancing, spiritual movements & aerobics. Walking sometimes too, especially if it's done in solitude.

I love it all and am extremely blessed to have a GREAT teacher who has shared the joy of feeling my body no matter what I'm doing.
My playout area is FILLED with heavy bags for punching; Indian and iron clubs and kettlebells and Bulgarian Training bags for swinging and lifting; medicine balls for throwing and lifting. I've got a bicycle for riding; bands for stretching; music for dancing; hoops for hooping; feet for walking and more!!!
I've got vids for most of these which I hardly watch.
Currently I'm doing Swimming Dragon qigong daily; walking when the weather is mostly dry and whatever weight I feel to use whenever I feel to use it. Might throw in some hooping and dancing as well!
Life is fun when we find play in whatever we do! :D
