What foods can I use to "fill me"? I am new and have those feeling of needing to be "full". Also any filling recipies?

Have you tried making almond milk yet? I find that I am full after making my "refreshing smoothie" (recipe from Girl Gone Raw) one banana, one cup almond milk and a handfull of fresh mint - zoom zoom in the blender + instant filling and refreshing smoothie. This is one of my faves.
Girl Gone Raw also has a recipe for cilantro cashew burgers that are quite filling. Her hearty chili rawks too. Good luck:)

start to embrace the non-full feeling... cause that's where the true health lies! rather than trying to get your body to feel that SAD full feeling...

Dense liquid meals tend to fill me up the most. Like a smoothie with 4-8 bananas or an apple added in or an avocado. Or a soup with an avocado. You never really want to be too full, but rather satisfied for several hrs. Feeling full is really a SAD thing and unhealthy.

Check up kale salad recipes! Use the search button. Chop up some avocado on top, you'll feel grounded. Also, just munch a handful of germinated nuts but don't get carried away or its a gut bomb.

try this Maple Pecan Pie Smoothie
- generally I don't use maple syrup, but I don't have a problem with using it on the odd occasion
- it is summer here, so you may not want to have this unless the weather is warm...but it is SO filling...
- soak a cup of pecans for 2 hours
- rinse and throw in the blender with 1 and a half cups of water
- add scrapings from a vanilla bean, a pinch of celtic sea salt, 4 tablespoons of maple syrup, cinnamon, 4 frozen bananas
- blend
- it is like a thick shake, and so incredibly delicious

I no longer have that problem (it's common and it passes eventually) but I really love this recipe below I developed for a Mushroom and Avocado Medley:
5 medium sized mushrooms quartered
1 avocado
marinade for mushrooms: dash of cold pressed oil (olive, or sesame, etc), tablespoon of lemon juice, celtic salt to taste 1/2 to 1 clove of crushed garlic.
place mushrooms in a sealable container and add all ingredients for marinade, put lid on and shake thoroughly. Leave for 10 mins to half an hour to marinade.
Once mushrooms are done, freshly dice avocado and add it to a bowl, mix in marinaded mushrooms and viola! A lovely filling and tasty meal!

Depends on what you mean by full...
If you mean like, bloated I-gotta-lay-down-and-sit-on-the-toilet-for-an-hour kind of full.. well that's definitely not ideal nor is it fun. That just means digestive distress.
But I assume you mean more of a satisfied full, where you can still get up and do things or rest in comfort.. just no longer hungry or feel the mental need for more nutrition.
In that case, just be sure to drink plenty of water right when you wake up, and find out how often you eat and how much is right for you. I believe it's important for all of us to eat a good breakfast (unless of course you are doing a well-monitored juice or other cleanse) that gives you energy and doesn't wear you down for the rest of the day, get your insides moving.
After that and the rest of the day, you will over time find what your body is wanting. Try to figure out if, at any particular moment, you "want" or NEED to feel that more satisfied "full" feeling. If you feel great and feel that you have met your nutrition requirements for that particular moment, there may be no need to add in a "filler". But if you're like me, you will have days where nibbling on sweet fruits and leafy greens just won't cut it. As nutrient packed as they are, health is a about balance. The chinese saw it as yin and yang, you get the picture.
Take a small step and add in more nutrient DENSE foods, you know like Avocados, coconut, sprouted seeds/grains etc, nuts; stimulating heating herbs and spices like cayenne, ginger and garlic, etc. Of course, that's just the raw perspective. I recommend you study around and find other "yang" foods that may be right for you for those times you feel the need for those "bodily warming" foods.
