Hello Everyone!

About 4 months ago I started to try out a few raw veggies, ones that I had always cooked because 'everyone cooks food', right? Sweet corn on the cob, asparagus etc, and it was so funny, seeing the shocked look on my colleagues faces when I brought a bunch of raw asparagus or a raw sweet potato to work! They think I am odd!

Generally healthy but have an extra 12 pounds or so that won't budge, and I read that going raw could help get rid of period pain (that would be fabulous!) Oh I do have painful, stiff ankles when I get up in the morning but nothing major. I started eating about 50% raw but about 2 weeks ago I decided to increase that, so I am at about 95%, most days 100%. The main focus is good health, though. Still have a lot to learn, I recently made some green smoothies that were absolutely Disgusting! So I would love some tips and recipes on making more appetizing ones! Any ideas?

Oh and I made the mistake of pigging out on too many avo's and nuts and have not lost any weight as a result.....so I have cut down on those.. would one avo every 3rd day and about half a cup of nuts a day be ok for someone wanting to lose weight?

Welcome to the forum Jeannie...

YOu should try to add more fruit to your GS for them to taste good... that also happened to me.. O-juice has worked for me on my GS...

Here is a great GREEN juice called 'Women's Wonder' by Michael Van Straten.

It's cleansing and can relieve PMS. It's delicious too. If you think you don't like these vegetables, try them like this and think again!

2 apples
2 carrots
1 chicory head
Half fennel bulb

healthy fats assist with releasing unhealthy fat from your body... so avo is gooooooooood.

why not join the 30 day challenge? sounds like it would be just what you need!

Thanks, everyone! Aleesha, I found your 70 green smoothie recipes so that is going to be a huge help! I am in for the 30 day challenge! :)
