Hello All,

First of all I'm from Holland but already stay in China for over ten years.

I'm already started today with my juice fast (Vegetables) and hope to continue this for about 40 days before I start to blend things.

My main purpose is to become clean and get my diabetes under control (Type 1) or even better complete of the insuline.

I'm not sure if there are people around here with the same diabetes type as me and they would like to give me some details about how they are doing.

I started to do raw after I was reading some books about how to heal your body, I was feeling very down and lost all my energy but after reading the books it was clear what the reason was why I felt like that.

I feel very motivated and I believe I have the power to do this.

Lets go and make things better, I can hardly wait to see how I would feel after several days I could not go lower in energy as what I was feeling before

Hi Mark

My boyfriend is also Dutch and lives with me here in the UK.

He is in NL at the moment celebrating Christmas with his family. When he returns he will have been away for 3 weeks not realising the binge-eating, depressed girlfriend he left behind will have started her fourth week on Raw. In that time I've FORGOTTEN to take my Prozac, already lost 10lbs and have clearer, younger looking skin and my binge-eating is a thing of the past. You sound very determined for success but I suggest you ask yourself what would make you fail this? For me it would be powerful cravings and I've easily tackled those by eating as much fruit as I need. Be aware of this if you intend a vegetable only juice fast. You would have to consume vast amounts of vegetables to get enough calories to survive an active day. Fruit can easily provide that. Good luck and please come here for support and advice.

Hi Mark,

Energy levels is one of the main reasons I'm going raw too. After the first 3 days, my energy level goes way up to the point where I don't even need coffee.

I've gone on and off a raw food diet, but the memory of all of the good things it caused keep me coming back. I hope you stick around for the support to stay on it.

I would like to say thanks to everybody that has post a reply to me.

Today is my second day of my juice fasting and wake up very good but after I have made my juice and went to upstairs I feel my leggs to heavy I could hardly walk and feel very bad as well I feel like I need to pop up.

I'm just taking it easy and wait to see if it will go just drinking my juice slowly, I think I have to much bad things inside my body and seems they get things they do not like and protest, but I do not care this, and this what they are going to get until they decide to go and leave, I just not give up because I feel a little bad.

I know things always comes with ups and downs but I will feel better very soon, thanks for all the support
