Bubble Tea is tea with milk, fruit syrup, tapioca pearls, something like that. I've never had it but I used an online recipe as a frame of reference for this danktastic Raw Version.
2 cups chilled Green Tea (I took the boil route but you can also use Sun Tea, or even Herbal Tea)
10 Medjool Dates
2 Fuyu Persimmons (SuperJuicyBalloonRipe)
1 cup Nuts or Seeds ( I used 1/2 cup Sunflower Seeds 1/2 cup Hemp Seeds)
3 spoonfuls of Carob Powder
6 Ice Cubes
hearty pinch of Sea Salt
Blend everything EXCEPT the dates, until smooth. Once smoothness is achieved, add the dates and blend until there are little date chunks in the smoothie, the time it takes to achieve this will vary according to the blender you're using. Once again I've never had conventional Bubble Tea but I'd imagine these lil date chunks are somewhat like tapioca pearls.
This is super delicious. I made one of these earlier and my mom loved it. and I'm sipping another now. This one has a stronger brew of Green Tea, as recommended by an online resource, and its fire. The tea's taste is very prevalent. I'm buzzin'.
