View Full Version : Dec 30 - DAY THIRTY!!!
12-21-2010, 09:44 AM
Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we donít want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,

Congrats everyone on taking this huge step to better health! I have learned so much from you and appreciate you sharing your experience and being so open. Thank you for your posts, support and love. I am wishing you all the light, love and peace your heart desires this year to continue your raw journey. I’ve learned so much about myself and my temple this month and am embracing and learning from it. Changing to a Raw lifestyle has been the most important decision of my life and this is where I want to stay. Feeling complete, happy, awakened and in love with all that surrounds me is where I want to be forever. I’m so grateful for this experience and for being able to do this with you all. Love you guys!
Changes my cycle: The 1st month was very painful and heavy as it has always been but I had only been raw for 2 weeks. My 2nd month & being 100% raw it was still a little painful but a lot better than what it used to be. This month – 3rd month and still 100% raw was PAINLESS! WOW! Very, very, happy and thankful for that. Good sign!
Meal 1: 20oz of Spring water (like, actually fresh from a Spring! ;-) & Ginger Kombucha
Meal 2: Green Juice (Dino Kale, celery, 1 apple, ginger, jalapeŮo)
Meal 3: Banana/Cacao smoothie (Hooray for Ripe Bananas! :D)
Meal 4: Carrot/Celery juice (we have a 5lb bag from Costco that needs to go asap) Maybe I’ll just stay with Juices/Smoothies all day?!
I plan on joining the January thread and hope to see you all there. Also, Zuri and I are DEFINITELY doing a 5day fast starting on the 15th. Is everyone still in? Maybe we can create a threat on the fasting area and do this together.
Finally – The Cheesecake picture…
Last night’s dinner (Zucchini pasta with tomato sauce) YUMMM!
The Curry Collard Wrap I’ve been eating this week
*many hugs* XOXO

I'm really surprised on how delicious that pasta came out. Tasted just like pasta and the sauce was so delicious and refreshing. Mmmmm We didn't make too much and wanted more. LOL!
blizzardfrisbee: Yay! Smoothie fast is great! I would but no blender, ya know... :) Let's start at thread on the 10th so we can talk about getting ready.
tvillemom: It's tough to keep up with pictures. LOL Here I am posting pics almost two weeks late. :p Your meals sound AMAZING today! Seriously. mmm I ♥ chai tea. Did you make it yourself? I have almonds soaking now to make milk tonight. Chai tea + almond milk tonight... Yummm!

Congratulations to ALL for making a choice to take care of yourself! In spite of any 'slips' (read as important learning experience), 100/ or less, you are here! And this moment is where the magic lives. It has been a pleasure sharing this experience with you. I hope you feel proud!
Today is day 70 for me!!! ANd it being so very close to the end of the year, I'm feeling reflective. I have made huge changes in my life this year; personal, health, diet, relationships, business, home, family. Raw food has been a blessing and a joy. This lifestyle keeps me grounded and centered in a way that I am able to support myself while the world around me is shifting. I am going to keep going. I will be fasting for 5 days in the beginning of January and then I'll join you others fasters for another 7-10 days in the middle of January.
B-big honeycrisp apple
sweet thai delight tea
L-green smoothie- made in my new vita mix!!! :)
for D I'll have a big salad, I'll snack on more fruit, too.
Escape, I am from now on going to refer to you as Artist. I am sending light & love your way. Your presence, your experience, and your words have made me think deeply about this journey. Many times you have written what I could not. Thank you!
