I've been hiking in the morning, pushing up hills, down hills, and then back through 91+ weather. I start early when it's still a little cool, but by the time I'm done the desert heat is high. The past two times I did it I was light headed for an hour or so afterwards. Today it has been all day, and now here it is 9PM and I still am. I drink about 2 liters of water while hiking, never depriving myself. I've been eating all day and drinking more water, nothing has helped. I'm a little concerned. Any suggestions?

Sounds to me as though you may need more "grounding" foods. Not knowing your food program, everyone here will be guessing what might be missing sooooo, I'm guessing.
If you are not doing so, eat foods direct from the ground such as carrots, daikon radish, etc. Maybe more greens in your food program also. In that temp. you're probably losing ~ what are they called? cellulites or something. :p Anyway, make sure you are getting enough variation in your food program including salts from celery and sea veggies.

David Wolfe urges people to eat coconuts for their allegedly-high electrolyte content.
Apparently, sweating does lead to a loss of sodium and electrolytes, so Revvell's advice is worthwhile following. My first thought, too, was that you may be focusing a little too much on fruit at the expense of greens.

.... also, if/when you are feeling that way, a few rounds of hot and cold showers ~ begin w/ hot, then cold ~ 7-10 rounds making sure you get the top of your head, spine, under arms, etc. That "should" balance you out.

That same thing happens to me when I am detoxing. I was getting light-headedness when I ran at first. Then when I progressed in my running the light-headed feeling was much less. Whenever it was more than normal I knew it was my body detoxing. I would suggest you cut back a little when you feel it coming on until the detox passes. It shouldn't take more than a few days.
Peace.

Thanks everyone. I feel a little better today. I made sure I had celery and some greens today two things I am bad at eating. I was thinking electrolytes were the problem I never eat enough celery and bananas. I also took the day off from exercising. I may again tomorrow if I feel the same.
I was thinking no way this could be detox, but tglasco4 seems to have had the same experience. I read that article Tim, I was worried it could be my heart. I've dropped so much weight so fast and have been pushing hard with the exercise that I worried I may have caused some damage because the lightheadedness has been so constant. Of course I'm not one to get too involved in stressing over my health that way. Positive mind, healthy body, and all that.
Revell you are so right, I've been losing cellulite!!! I did take a cold then hot bath yesterday while trying to recover. Didn't think to do it so many times.
There's definitely somthing amuck. This could all be because yesterday in my journal I wrote how I haven't really experience any detox. I should have known better.
