A Good knife

Hey raw world! Looking for a good knife for food preparation- the big type that's not crazy expensive. I live in So Cal.

My daughter bought us 2 JA Henckles knives last year (at Bed Bath and Beyond) They have been GREAT!!!!! Still sharp and cutting well, and we use them all the time.
I won't even use any of our old ones anymore.

Not sure what "crazy expensive" means to you yet, we got a ceramic knife. LOVED it!
