Hey. Sorry for the bombardment of questions, but I've been having some bowel discomfort since starting the diet. I have had some developments of bloating and my bowels/intestines feel 'backed up'. Is this normal? Should I try an enema?
Thanks.

Hiya, I, too, am new to raw food- 5 days in and found this forum because unexpected gas and turbulent tummy complaints. It is easing now and I think all the things that have helped is: learning about food combining, increasing in drinking water and chewing thoroughly. Digestive problems seem to be the first complaints newbies have, so it's common and in most cases proven to ease. Others have suggested it is the bowels adjusting to a sudden increase in a fibre and that makes sense. I swapped from smoothies to more juices (and had a few greens with any fruit) today. It feels gentler. Good luck!
