Just interesting to see how our bodies are different from each other...so just a curiosity question...doesn't matter your percent of raw as long as you were aiming toward a raw state...for me, after a month, 12 lbs gone...(and I was 121 lbs when I started)
I am down a bit 8 lbs from 3 months ago, however, I was surprised when I got the measing tape out and had lost more inches than I had pounds. I think this is a good thing. :D

Over two years of being raw, I lost 60 pounds. I'm down to my ideal weight, although I recently gained five pounds. I went to some parties and I couldn't resist some SAD food. Now I'm juicing a little more and trying to detox my body of the SAD food.

I have been raw for 17 months now and have lost 30lbs. I was about 220lbs when I started (I thought I was 215lbs but found out later my scale was off). I am about 190lbs now and seem to stay between 194 and 188 no matter what I do. I work out 6 days per week, 3 cardio and 3 resistance. I am pretty much 100% raw. So I believe this is my natural weight, for now anyways.....lol
Peace.

I lost 30 pounds in 34 days, then went down another 10 or so the next month.
I still have about 100 to lose, so that might be why I'm losing so fast.

I lost immediately upon going raw, and I had none to spare really, so it was a bit of a problem for a while. I was glad that that irritating layer of fat that covered me -- even though it wasn't a lot but made me look "soft" instead of muscular/toned -- disappeared; but I got "skinny" looking as opposed to "thin."
So then I gained some back and am just slightly under what I was when I started. But I can definitely gain weight on this diet and cannot do the "eat all and anything you want" thing. I will put on undesireable weight.
But I have found the perfect balance and am the healthiest I've ever been in my life. I know how to eat perfectly for me.
So, I lost and gained :)

I have lost 60 pounds in 8 months of raw, though I took a 2 month break from raw mid-april to mid-june when I didnt lose anything and in fact gained 10 pounds!

Lost 3 pounds in the first month. That may seem small amount compared to others but due to my screwed up slowMetabolism (from Competing and Yo Yo diets and weight loss for shows) this amount but for me is a surprise as I was not trying to lose.
The last 4 weeks I did not lose any scale weight. But interesting to note I can wear my size 2 pants that do not usually fit me well when my weight is 126...they usually only fit before and after a show when I weigh 119-123. I was thinking this odd so I weighed myself again a few days later and I gained a pound and my size 2's fit. Baffled for sure !

I've lost a total of about three pounds in the eight months I've been doing this. But I had already started eating better and started at a lower weight than I'd seen in years, so this is three pounds that I never thought I could lose. I could still stand to lose another 5-10, but I was mostly doing this to feel better, and, as I'm feeling better and better, I'm less concerned about my weight.
I could probably lose more if I tried harder to cut back on bananas, or rationed portions. But I'm not putting much effort into taking those kinds of steps. No effort at all, actually. My life is pretty crazy these days, and just staying raw for my health is about all I can manage.
Edited because I forgot how long I'd been raw and needed to correct myself!

have gone raw three summers in a row...
each and every time the weight just flew off!
this last time, started June 22 (after bingeing for
several months on cooked) at 137 lbs.
two months later, I weighed 118.5!
I eat and eat and eat, and I must confess,
still have one cooked food, organic butter,
which I eat right off the stick; I also eat
1 - 2 ounces of raw cheese every day.
sometimes I overeat (by a bite or two)
on purpose, but I still weight 119/120 every
time.....no workout like tglasco, but
I DO bike back/forth to college 8 - 12 miles a week,
fly around the house doing chores,
work my jaw muscles constantly while
yelling at the kids (JK!)
and am generally very active...funny
how once you go raw, your energy goes
WAAAAAY up and you feel motivated,
unlike you-know-what which makes ME
feel like sitting around and doing nothing
all day....
when I went raw the first time, I always
fell asleep at 9:30 or 10 with no effort;
for some reason this time, my late night
SAD schedule has kicked back in...
I'm not that tired but I just feel so much
better and less paranoid/anxious when
I get enough sleep...has this ever happened
to anyone else???? - Hil :)

My weight just FLEW off. The first time I tried raw (only a week) I lost 5lbs at least. Then I just gained it back when I went to cooked. The second time I went raw I lost 15lbs in 3 weeks and others said I got too low and sick looking, though I didn't think so and knew it would gain backa fter detoxing. I slipped up on raw for the past 3 weeks and I've gained about 15-20lbs!!!! I'm hoping that once I get back on track (limiting bananas, dates, and avocados) I'll drop fast.

I didn't keep track too much, except for the first month, when 20+ pounds flew off me, then it slowed down a bit, for a total of nearly 40 pounds in the four months I've been raw so far. I am less than 40 pounds above my "goal weight", although after I reach it, I have no intention of abandoning raw!

I have not lost weight. I've been 100% raw for 19 days, and medium raw since mid July. I am eating alot more than I was before I went raw, but I thought we could do that. I don't eat alot of dried and nuts (I went through a short Think Bar spell) but I do eat alot of bananas. My stomach has flattened, but me jeans fit the same and the scale reads the same. Also I haven't had any detox symptoms since I went 100% and only a rash before (in July).

I am 6'0 and off raw I usually weigh about 145-148. On raw I usually drop about 5-8 pounds and not much more.
I have been high raw for around 5 weeks (100% for only 1 week), and I have actually GAINED 3 lbs. It seems strange to me (and a bit frustrating, too), since I have around 30 lbs to lose. I think I'll have to step up my workouts, but I'm also trying to just have faith in the healing process. TRYING, I said, but it's hard to do sometimes!

I lost about 5 lbs. over three months. I'm 5'4" and about 123 lbs. While I'd love to be about 117 lbs., I look thinner and have more muscle definition than ever. I had one nurse ask if I was even under 100lbs.

I went from 124 to 114 but hopefully I have stopped there. I have not lost anything for a few weeks now. I do not want to loose any more

I also want to mention, that someone like me, who started out at 5' 4" and at 285 pounds would lose weight much faster, and more in a smaller period of time, than say someone who starts at 5' 4" and weighs 140, so please take that into consideration.
Just in case anyone is comparing themselves to a faster weight loss than they are experiencing themselves.

I've been 100% raw for 9 days now; lost 9.5 pounds during my first week.

If I recall correctly, I lost about 28lbs in my first 4-5 weeks, and another 10 over the following 2 months. However, I slipped, and put about 15 back on. I didn't weigh myself again before beginning the 90-day challenge (so as not to get discouraged before I even started), so I'm not sure where I am at present.

I have been 90% raw for 11 weeks and lost 25.4 lbs. But, I wanted to say to those who have gained weight, find someone who can weigh you and tell the difference between fat mass, water weight, and muscle/bone/tissue.
For instance, one week I showed a total loss of 1.4 lbs. However, I lost 3 lbs fat mass and put on 1.6 lbs of muscle/bone/tissue.
Sometimes it seems that you have lost nothing, but you have put on healthy things and gotten rid of some bad stuff. Can't ask for better than that, but I can see how it would be frustrating if the only thing you have to judge by is the net number and none of the detail.

I have been raw for three weeks and have lost between 6-10 pounds (my scale is fickle...)
I started at 146.
I've never done raw before and was eating a low-carb, high protein diet with a couple of servings of junk food a day (so this is quite different for me!!)

I dropped and gained and dropped and gained.... the first month. I was making myself dizzy. This month - I've barely looked at it - I don't care at the moment, but I'll weigh myself at the end of the month for the end of the first month of 90 Day Challenge.

I've been pretty much 100% for 5.5 months and have lost a total of 67lbs. I figure I could lose another 25 to 30 lbs. I have not been exercising and want to start. I do not monitor my food intake but I also do not eat alot. I feel marvelous!

Peace,
I came into this way of living without really needing to lose weight. I've been 100% for 9 months.
I'm 5'9" and i was about 145 when i started raw. After a month or two i was down to 138-140. But since then, i've gained back the weight and am back to around 145. I normally fluctuate between 145-150.
Although my overall weight hasn't changed since the moment i started eating raw until now, my COMPOSITION is what's changed. I'm now at a more healthy (for me at least) 7-8% of body fat. I was relatively healthy before i decided to eat raw, so now i'm just as good as i've ever been, and i feel TERRIFIC and VIBRANT, something that goes beyond the scope of a scale!
PEACE

I lost about 30 pounds in about 2.5 months. I lost 5.5 inches off my waist and hips and 4.5 off my thighs. It was as if someone cut through the butter with a hot knife. And since then, my cellulite has been dissappearing just like Allisa's books says it will! I look younger in my face too. My aches and pains healed up and my joints don't pop and crack anymore.
But I have a question, what's this talk about limiting bananas, avos and dates to lose weight? The book doesn't talk about limiting those things. Can someone shed some light on that?
