...still waving. ;)
Hi all,
I've been lurking on these forums for a week now, so I finally decided to join today. I am in my late twenties, a mother to a baby girl, a wife to a programmer, and a cat owner of a super fluffy cat.
In the beginning of the year 2009 I attempted to go raw. I tried first just by uping up my veggie/fruit intake and then green smoothies for breakfast. Around the same time my hubby and I were trying for our first baby. When I became pregnant I couldn't eat green smoothies any more without feeling dizzy and weak. For the health of our unborn daughter I stopped eating them.
After our baby was born I was still eating raw veggi/fruit but mostly cooked foods. With very little sleep, and learning to breastfed it was too difficult to learn how to eat raw as well.
Now that baby girl is one years old, a breastfeeding pro, so I have decided to go raw again. :D I will be battling my hubby, the guy who loves fast food, so I'm hoping I can find yummy raw treats even he will eat.
Our daughter eats raw all the time since we hand make baby food. In fact yesterday I took my first raw steps. Our daughter and I enjoyed mashed Avacado mixed with hand made almond milk...so yummy! She loved it too. ;)
edit: I'm hoping to buy Alissa's book and a dehydrator in a few months for some yum yums.
