Welcome welcome welcome!!!

Welcome to the 30 day challenge.

If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!

Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!

We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!

WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.

We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!

In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.

Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,

Cherie

Hello, Beauties!

Just checking back in…So wonderful to see that you all are going strong and that we have made it to day #20. Can you believe it? So proud of you guys!

GreenT: So wonderful to hear that you have been asthma-free! That is soooooooooo AMAZING!

EscapeArtist: It must be a lot tougher in an atmosphere where SAD food is all around you constantly. Please know that I admire you (and all of you) for being able to push that off. That takes a lot of courage, strength and self-love. As for the situation at the mall, I see what you mean. I experienced what you did and definitely saw things differently. How you felt is not a bad thing, but actually something wonderful. You are awakened, in touch with your heart, body, with nature and everything around you. That is something to be so HAPPY about! You do belong and know that there are many people out here who share the same interest and love everything you do. We’re so proud of you! Hang in there! *hugs*

My weekend was wonderful! On Saturday we went to our usual raw restaurant for lunch and then to a Co-Op (1st time). WOW! I really enjoyed seeing even more raw food and wonderful natural products. We also took some Ear Candles home and did one session and WOW, I couldn’t believe how junk came out. After that treatment my vision, hearing and head felt different and light. :D We are so happy we did this and will be doing another two sessions soon. On Sunday I spent my entire day with my 1 yr old niece – what an amazing day. She is wonderful and ate Raw with me all day. She even gulped down her morning green juice (Kale + Apple). Children are so amazing and beautiful.

Weekend goodies: Smoothies, Spicy corn chips & Raspberry Cheesecake (will post pics tomorrow).

Today’s Plan:

Meal 1: Green Juice & Banana
Meal 2: Avocado Collard Wrap
Meal 3: Salad
Meal 4: Spicy corn chips & Guac (Can’t wait to get home!)

Many blessings and love for you all! Hope your Monday is off to a good start!

XOXO

Hey all! Sounds like a grrreat weekend Delise! I hear you about young ones being so open. I had my 2 yr old nephew this weekend and man, we had a ball! He had a fruit smoothie with me and then when it was time for a green smoothie, first I let him taste it and he shoved his sippie cup in my hand like, "Fill me up!" Then amidst him constantly saying, "YUM YUMMY" we'd toast and say "Cheers" before drinking our green smoothie. I kid you not. The child has personality for days. *laughing....I'm still here, just a little busy. Day 20 is looking fantastic! Have a great day all! I'm so grateful for this short work week too! *doing a happy happy dance :)

Aww Delise thankyou for that. You are so right.. and my perception has shifted.. You have put a big smile on my face to begin the day with :) I'm glad to hear that you're doing so well, mmm raspberry cheesecake!! Looking forward to those pics

Your nephew sounds adorable Zuri! I love seeing kids drinking green smoothies.. It's just a beautiful sight, good on you and him! That's so cute. Enjoy your short week!

Just popping in this morning to say, I somehow decided to jump on the scale (I usually don't believe so much in scales). I have been eating..hmm.. maybe 3000 calories a day lately? Just hoards and hoards with 0 exercise at all. But for some reason I decided to jump on the scale and.. I lost 2 more pounds!! What the heck? That is awesome. So i'm down to 123 and I have no freaking idea how I ended up there with my habits lately lol. I told myself before this experiment that I was ready to gain weight if I had to eat a lot at first, if it meant going raw and finding energy and beauty in life. And now I have gone from 129-123 in almost 3 weeks with no effort on that part at all. Too cool
