Hello! I am going on vacation in April for a week. We are renting a house in Florida, and we are driving down, so would it be CRAZY for me to bring all of my "equipment"? Meaning, my blender, dehydrator, and food processor? The house we are staying at does have a blender and food processor, but I don't want to use them incase I burn them up. So what does everyone think? I know it is a far away, but I just was wondeirng. Thanks everyone!

I personally would just eat natural and raw foods.

If I was driving - I'd take my appliances! I've flown and packed my BlendTec cuz I didn't want to do without my green smoothies for a week+.

Perhaps you can get by without your dehydrator for a week though? We often go camping in our fifth wheel for days on end and I *always* take along my BlendTec and food processor.

I was even lucky enough to buy a 4 tray Excalibur at GoodWill for $10 - so if I really wanted to take one along, I'd take that one. But, I find with advance menu planning, I'm able to get by without the D.

But heck - if you've got the room and want to take it, I say go for taking them all if that's what you want! *Ü*

I have sometimes put a juicer in the car. A sharp knife is nice to bring too. I can't imagine schlepping appliances that the house already has, but that's just me ... it's your vacation!

Thanks everyone! I think I will do the blender and food processor. My husband thinks I am crazy for wanting to bring my dehydrator, but then again, when I told him I wanted to take my stuff he looked at me like I was crazy, and I asked him what did you think I was going to do go off eating raw for one week, and he said yeah! I said you are silly!!:p

I would take my blender. Can you dehydrate things before your trip and take them along?

I like the way you think! I guess I am just a little nervouse, because we r going down to see my parents and i dnt want to hear all the questions and the whys. my dad already thinks im "weird" because i buy all organic foods for my DH and children. He is always saying look at me I am 65 and eat all that "crap" and I feel fine! So I just want to make sure I am prepared with food that I can eat and they can try.
