Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

healthywealthy: Glad to hear you are feeling better!
Delise: barleymax is a product that comes from Hallelujah Acres. It is organic and raw and I really trust the company that makes it! It is just dehydrated barley greens, but they also have flavors now for people who don't like the "green" taste, but I don't mind it so much. I take it in just water and also add it to my smoothies!! They also carry "carrotmax" and "beetmax" which are dehydrated carrots or beets....and also a whole line of RAW products. You can find them at hacres.com
shooflygirl: thanks for the reminder! DH and I just went to a local Goodwill last weekend and it didn't occur to me to check appliances!! DUH!
blizzardfrisbee: our meals seem so similar, I had to look twice at who posted! I love the apple, walnut, raisin combo with some cinnamon!!! YUMMMMM
Today for me is going to be busy, busy.....I'm off to the grocery store early this morning. I always look forward to buying new, fresh foods! I have some cranberries that are still hanging out in the fridge...I think I'm gonna try some of those in my smoothie today! OOPS, maybe not, I think the kids devoured all my bananas yesterday! I better buy extras this week!
I am going to make a nut pate of some kind....maybe tomorrow.....or later today (I have to soak the nuts)
I guess today's food is really up in the air now. As long as I buy fresh salad fixings, I'll be great!!
Breakfast will probably be:
apple/walnut/raisins/cinnamon
Lunch? maybe a blended salad?????
I'll check back in later, DH and my 2 boys are going to a concert tonight....Toby Mac and Skillet! They are so excited. A good friend of ours, his step son wanted to go to this for his birthday, so they invited my boys (and DH) and PAID FOR THE TICKETS!!! God is awesome!!!
Hanging in there and rawkin the raw foods today!!!

Hi all! I know the feeling healthywealthy. :) Wow, day 9! It's really day 12 for me. I'm liking the double digits that's for sure. It's coming down to the wire with food. This weekend I'll be able to restock and I mean restock. I just don't have time this weekend to dehydrate and really plan some good meals. It'll work out though as I'll figure something out. I won't be on this evening so today I have:
green smoothie of dinosaur kale, spinach, pineapple, cranberries, bananas, Brazil nut milk and water (YUM)
napa cabbage w/crimini mushrooms, cilantro, gr onion, other seasonings (drizzled some hemp oil/tamari on it) w/avocado
apple
orange
banana
pineapples
Lara bar
I always forget napa cabbage dwindles down to nothing and end up with too much seasonings. I'm eating it anyway! :) Have a great day all. I'm so proud I went to the gym Monday, yesterday and I'm going today! I'm aiming to go at least 4 days out of the week. Have a great day. :)

HW- I had a wonderfl sleep too! Ah detox.. isn't it a great feeling to know that feeling has been hiding in your body, and now will be finally rid? It's like a fin-al show-downnn, dododo do, dodododo...
Mindful mama I just love your energy :)
I had one of the best sleeps of my life last night. It didn't even bother me that I woke up many times in the early morning, because I slipped right back in REM. I must have had at least 6 dreams, and the last dream was very pleasing.. Metaphoric for my 'strong' half, and the characterstics of myself that I view as 'weaker' stripping away the costumes and accepting eachother. Playing music with eachother, even
Lovely. I am not the one to usually remember my dreams so clearly. And this is the first time in months I have felt rested!
update later :) hope you all are having a pleasant afternoon

Hello lovelies..
Today I went to the thrift store to hunt for a blender. Found one for 15 bucks and decided to take a chance. Well, it works better than I expected, especially for it's vintage style. I can make green smoothies now :) Yes!!!
Didn't each much today... I'm just not hungry. I could have went all day without eating.
B: cucumber, chia 'iskiate'
S: apple
L/D?: Banana spinach smoothie
S: pomegranate (yum)
I had a couple of moments of happiness today, little bursts of euphoria through the morning and early afternoon.

Hi all!
I too feel like I sleep so well, and need little sleep to feel rested!
I feel like I eat a lot each day! Any one else? Sometimes throughout the day I am still hungry after eating a meal. So I eat more. I'm not sure if I am really hungry or if it's emotion or boredom. I've done a few 10 days fasts to work through this pattern. It always returns. I'm not overweight; range between 118-124, 5'6". Maybe it's just my body is just loving raw food and it needs more to heal deeper? I don't ever experience days where I eat little food. When I'm fasting I love the feeling of empty. When I'm eating I love the feeling of being full. I have yet to find the middle ground.
Today
lots of lemonwater
B- watermelon
s-apples
L- green smoothie
s- banana chips & raisins
D- green smoothie, a few flax crackers with sunny pate
I wish you all well!!
