I'm not even sure if I have candida but I'm beginning to suspect it, because I had athlete's foot before raw and a white coating on my tongue. The athlete's foot has gone down, the white tongue has gone down but they both are still minorly there. I also have been suffering with severe and unwavering fatigue, both before and after raw. Doesn't that usually mean that I may have a fungal overgrowth? Anyways, If I just go raw but still eat fruit, will candida (if it is there) calm down? Or will it just feed off of the sugars? For an anti-candida diet, can I begin with raw, and then transition to raw without fruit? I mean, will raw, WITH fruit, to begin with, at least stop the growth? Or, will it not make a difference unless I remove the fruit?

I'm new to all of this so my opinion isn't going to be as good as someone who's got a lot of experience...but I have been doing a lot of informal research on candida (I have it) and the key seems to be that the immune system isn't fighting off the overgrowth of candida.

I'm looking into immune boosting foods. And here is another thing...parasites may also be a problem linked with candida.

Oh sorry, I got off on a tangent, the fruit probably has to go for awhile. This isn't easy for me, loosing the fruit because I use it in green smoothies. But I know that if I want to really address the candida that I have to give the fruit up for a period of time.

Have you thought about seeing a doctor who can run some tests for any deficiencies, and then applying raw foods as a means of healing? I'm going in for some tests soon. I'd really like some concrete answers...but they can keep their drugs of course.

There is a TON of info out there on candida. I thought this article (http://www.health-truth.com/10.php#15)was especially interesting. It seems candida can be complicated.

I wish you well and hope that you start to find the answers you need to feel well.

BTW, I have a friend who sufferes from CFS, or did. She wrote me the other day and told me she has never felt better. I know she had to give up some of the foods that were triggering her condition. It was a matter of trial and error.

We use grapefruit seed extract for all our little illnesses. It is good for systemic candida also. You can read here for more info:

http://www.nutriteam.com/candida.htm#candida

I have been using this for years. It goes down great with a couple ounces of orange juice.

I read that hemp seed has the same kind of protein that the immune system uses to make its immune system super powers (sorry that is so scientific but I cant remember specifice). So hemp protein is something that feeds and can boost the immune system. Found the article:

Hi. I found a girl, who cured herself from candida (she was trying difrent diets for years) with the Gerson therapy. Link:

Her name is Gabsonik. It's very long and You'll have to use translate. She was on juices and enemas for 6 months and had many bad days with headache and vomiting. The candida went away along with parasites and stones. She was posting pictures of it. I'm trying to contact with her now, so I'll try to get those pictures. She was cured of candida, endometriosis with a tumor, her eye colour changed!

Just be 100% raw with a good high quality probiotic formula (such as Garden Of Life, not their raw one), without overdoing sweet fruit or fats and that's it. You shouldn't be overdoing any one food anyhow. Way easier than any candida diet. I mainly considered dried fruit the only thing not to have too much of and I didn't restrict fats. I definitely don't recommend no fruits at all. The standard candida diet doesn't apply when one is raw. Keep in mind that it could still take awhile, but any method of getting rid of candida is the same. Many are finding Adya Clarity shots have been speeding up the process.

Research oregano oil, and if you're interested in using it, take care to get a quality source. I plan on incorporating it into my protocol for awhile and I'll buy from North American Spice and Herb Co.

I was about to buy some when I had the thought that I should probably research a good source, so thanks for this.
