Consider this ~ Vitamix ~ around $450 divided by say, 14 years ='s $32 per year! Priceless!

Now, you can purchase a "regular" blender and be frustrated because it doesn't do what you want it to do which is blend your produce into a smoothie. You can say "It'll do" or, "I can live with that" yet, is it good enough for you?

Personally, I don't live with "good enough" or, "I can live with that"... I like the best! I like ease in my food prep.

You can find a used one on eBay or, at a garage sale or even a refurbished one through VitaMix... even those will be better than any off-the-shelf blender in my opinion.

i agree. a vita-mix will last you for years whereas a regular blender won't last all that long at all. i went through two blenders in the first months of being raw. my vita-mix will last me a lifetime... definitely worth (not only) the money but the save of waste on the environment!!!

Yep i agree also. I had a regular blender and i too thought the same that this will do. My smoothies weren't smooth. They constantly had pieces of greens in them and i couldnt make certain things in it that the vitamix can. I just got my vitamix a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVE it. Yes it was expensive but it is definitely worth every penny. It would be different if you only used it once in a while, but with the raw lifestyle it is a very important necessity!

I agree-- I don't have a vitamix-but will be getting one. My smoothies don't come out "smooth"

I dont know how I was ever raw without a vitamix. I use it everyday at least twice a day. It is probably one of the happiest purchases I have ever made. You wont regret it for a second!!
