This month I want to REALLY get movin' and look nicely in that NYE outfit. Plus, it's the big 2-5 this month and I'm determined to start the year in the best shape of my life. Why wait until January? Let's do this now!

Anyone want to join me this month? I'll try to post my workout every day with details and do some before/after pics at the end. Maybe everyone that wants to join me can do the same. I know it's the holidays and it may be a little difficult but there is no better gift to yourself. You're already raw so come on! Let's tone up and look our best.. Si?!? :D

So.... This is the plan.

Working out AT LEAST 6 out of 7 days/week in the morning - Weightlifting may happen in the afternoon since the gym opens at 5am. No excuses... No buts. I plan on dedicating at least 1hr per day to this temple. You don't have to do what I do and can create your own plan. I simply really enjoy weightlifting, yoga and pushing my temple with HIIT cardio. Woooo Hoooooooo!

Day 1: Weights - Full body workout
Day 2: Cardio - 20-30 mins of HIIT in the morning
Day 3: Yoga - at home with candles in the morning.
Day 4: Weights - Full body workout
Day 5: Cardio - 20 mins of HIIT in the morning
Day 6: Yoga - at home with candles in the morning.
Day 7: Rest

Today I will go to the gym at 4pm for weightlifting! So excited!

Hope you can join me!

*many hugs*

I would love to join you. My workouts will be my rebounder + video workout, and I'll have to do it in the evenings because of my crazy life. I hope that doing it then doesn't keep me from sleeping at night - we'll have to see. I haven't had time to go to the gym since September, and I really need this. I give you permission to smack me upside the head if I stop doing this (or never start), or if I start slacking off. :D

This sounds great! Let's do it! :D Don't worry, if you want it you will definitely achieve it! As long as you're moving and doing what you enjoy things will work wonderfully.

I personally enjoy weightlifting (and think everyone needs a little bit of it) because it really tones you up and you see results right away (after being a little sore, of course. LOL!) I enjoy that soreness (strange, I know. LOL) Morning workouts are the BEST for you on an empty stomach. Give it a shot! Have you tried it? You'll get way better results. ;) Maybe squeezing in 30mins? Your energy will be increased and you will feel great! Let's do this!!! Woooo HoooO!

I could try to rearrange my life to do it in the morning. It would mean I'd need to do all of my lesson plans and things like that at night rather than in the mornings. Today will have to be this afternoon/evening, but I'll see if I can get things done ahead of time today for tomorrow, and do the rebounding in the morning tomorrow.

Have a good day. :)

OK I'm in!! But I am starting tomorrow because my membership just expired at the gym and I cant renew it till tomorrow.

So what are HIITs? I've heard other people talk about them but I never looked it up.

That's what I'm talking about!!!! You're going to love it! :D
Have a wonderful day yourself and enjoy this afternoon's workout! wooo hooo!
BTW: Weightlifting burns way more body fat than cardio itself! So worth it! :D

YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY! Welcome aboard. Tomorrow sounds good! Let's do this!

Okay, HIIT = High Intensity Interval Training
It's pretty much sprinting for a certain amount of time and then walking slowly for the rest. It will be the best 20min workout of your life! I am really pressed for time in the morning and this gets me sweating like I just ran for an hour and I feel wonderful after.

So... What you basically do on a Elliptical or stair master (treadmill works but I'm not a big fan of what it does to my knees) Start the machine and walk for the first minute. On the first 20seconds of the minute you push yourself and go as fast and as hard as you can. For the rest of the 40 seconds you walk normally and try to breathe... Do it again for the rest of the time and make sure you breathe...

This is what I do:
minute 1 - walk at level 5
minute 2: 1st 20 seconds - level 10 and run go fast as I can
rest of 40 seconds - walk at level 5

Repeat for as long as you can. My first time doing this I got to 10minutes and was so beat so I stopped and the next day pushed myself for 11minutes until I reached a good 20minutes. Let me know how it goes!

Just letting you know there's already a monthly work-out thread here (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=62590).

So let's keep it all in one thread. Thanks so much!
