Hey Guys,
When I first started raw, I could not figure out how I lost 20 lbs so fast!
So, I tried to explain it to myself in a system I already got the concept of (WW). It came out that when one eats raw they are essentially eating a lot of 0 and 1 point foods!
Anyway, I have to giggle because now Weight Watchers is giving up assigning point values to raw fruits and veggies. Looks like they are figuring out what we already knew!
Tee hee! We are WAY ahead of them arent we!
By the way, I am happy to report that I lost 3 lbs this thanksgiving by keeping it RAW! How many people can say that!!!
:)
Wow and "DUH" to Weight Watchers. :) Congrats.

When I was a member I could not stand sitting through the meetings with people going on and on about dairy and how to make it through a trip to the drive thru. Yeah, congratulations for finally figuring out the value of good produce, but they still promote so much negative, I can't say I'd advocate it as more than a step toward something else.

About time...I have a family member who's studying to be a nutritionist. The first question is where do you get calcium and protien? They couldn't believe I make Almond Milk & thought it was disgusting. Disagreed with it. When I explained lactose intolerance...'oohh'. THen it's ok.

This is exactly what I told someone on another board. They were going on and on about weight watchers new system. Then, when they posted it, I said "so basically WW is just now catching on to what the raw vegans and clean eating folks figured out YEARS ago!" :D

20 years ago, right after having a baby, I went to Jenny Craig. Everything they gave me to eat was processed...full of salt, sugar and fat. The reason everyone lost weight was because it also only equaled 1000-1200 calories a day. By day three on their plan I was SO sick. That was just not enough calories (and zero nutrition) and my body did not like it! I quit their program, of course, and am very happy to say that I found raw just a few years later!
