Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

Hey everybody,
I just got back onto raw food living after a month or so off the bandwagon. I'm a seven year vegan and I was eating raw for over a year. I was feeling great and eating a lot of fruits and vegetables. I started to do pull-ups for the first time in my life.
Then winter happened and I got depressed.
So I'm renewing my commitment to raw foods this month because I want to start doing push-ups and pull-ups again. I'm tired of the headaches I get when I'm not eating raw foods. I might need some encouragement too.
I just read all of yesterday's posts (Sunday 5th) and I thought I would post because we have a two-hour delay so I don't have to send the kids off to school right away.
Thanks and good luck everybody!
- Thomas

Hey all! Happy day 6! Hey Delise, did you go to the Mojo Juice Cafe is it called? The name of that burger sounds familiar. I haven't been there yet. I was about to ask you how you made the burger when I then saw that you went to a raw restaurant. What I would give to have one here in Baltimore! How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking, for all of you and your darling's food? I may just make a trip there for the experience at some point, but who knows with the weather and my schedule. Anyway, I'm hanging...will post my eats later. Can't wait to jump on these kale chips, but I'm making myself eat my salad and fresh juice first. :) Glad to read everybody's posts and a nice warm Hello! to everybody I haven't "met" yet. :)

Morning Zuri!
The name of the Restaurant is Senbeb Cafe, the "Mojo Juice Club' is part of Kephra (raw chef's) own thing. He does retreats and classes, etc. The restaurant is located close to 495 off the Georgia Ave exit which is not too far from you. :) The burger itself is $8.50 but the live platter as seen in the picture is $13 which includes two sides (rice & collars). DELISH! He usually has a dessert and some nut milk also. When you decide to make the trip over this way, let me know! :D

OMGoodness! This sounds delicious! My country's main dish are 'Pupusas' but they're made out other sad ingredients. LOL! I will definitely give this a try. Mmmmmm :D

Yes, we are so thankful for having this restaurant close. We make a trip out there to support it each weekend. They're so amazing for starting this in our area and every time we go in there we feel and give nothing but love.
HealthyWealthy: *Drooooooooolll* That looks delish! Will try it soon!
AdrianaH: Pheeeeeeew! Grandma's house is always a tough one. KUDOS for that!
Seductive Arts That's what I'm talking about! Glad to hear you're going strong. :)

I was feeling like I might be getting a cold over the weekend but it seems to have not developed. Was really hungry again today.
Weighed in and no weight loss, oh well, maybe further into it.

I think I've miscalculated, today IS day 6 for me! nor 7. So much easier to remember now!
Has anybody bought local UNorganic spinach? I washed it so well but still my salad is all gritty with dirt and has these moments of just tasting really.. off. Ick!
Today I completely re-realized the clarity of the mind on raw! I'm able to fade out into my thoughts, but somehow, I don't have to fade back in to life. It's like I can daydream without completely leaving my surroundings.
Also! I have some severe social anxiety and avoidance problems. Well today I was out in public for 6 hours, and I felt dramatically reduced anxiety! I was even able to ask strangers for the time, over-all I felt much more comfortable in public. It is very strange and wonderful!
detox fading, good day
take care, wishing all of you lovelies the best
Morning Zuri!

Wow! I can't believe how good the food photos look. I need to learn how make raw bread and crackers! My kids ate a handful of raw almonds when they woke up then blackberries and strawberries, a handful of raw walnuts when they came home from school and gave them each a deep bowl of water to get the pomegranate seeds out of a scored pomegranate. They loved eat! I didn't eat any greens today - am so hungry right now but have not been tempted to eat cooked food. I have not had any tea because I don't know what is raw? As I gave my children warm veggie soup tonight I was thinking surely there is something hot I could be having but I don't know what! I am down seven pounds since December 1st. Hang in there everybody! Thank you so much for your posts.
