Welcome welcome welcome!!!
Welcome to the 30 day challenge.
If you haven't already... please take a moment to read the posting rules/guidelines (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/announcement.php?a=3) of this section. Thanks!
Welcome to the Monthly Raw Challenge!
We're excited about this new area of the forum that is specifically for those of you who are eager to commit to a month of eating 100% raw foods and seeing miraculous results!
WE (one of the moderators) will start a new challenge thread on the first of every month.
We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!
In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw.
Peace, Blessings and Warmest Regards,
Cherie

HAPPY DECEMBER!!!
Okay, so this morning I started with delicious Green Juice. My throat has been a little sore since my temple is being attacked by 100ppl around me that are sick. LOL so, I decided to add some fresh garlic and ginger to my juice yesterday and it cleared me up right away so I had some today also.
Morning Supplement: Raw Spirullina (will get powder to add to juice soon)
Meal 1 20oz Green Juice (Kale, Spinach, Celery, Broccoli, 1 apple, 1 orange, 1 pomegranate, Carrots, collard leafs)
snack: banana
Meal 2 Salad (kale, spinach, tomatoes, brocolette, yellow and orange peppers, topped off with hemp seeds, sunflower seed, chia seeds, gogi berries & 1 Avocado)
Dressing (Olive oil, apple cider vinegar, kelp & dulce)
snack: 1/4 cup of Super Trail Mix (Coconut chips, cacao nibs, cashews, mulberries, Goldenberries, Gogi berries)
Meal 3 Green Juice (I make two juices for work each day. One for meal #1 and another for 4pm)
Meal 4 Avocado (sprinkled with a little Himalayan sea salt, dulce & kelp)

Hello to everyone! Woke up to snow on the ground today. My youngest is sick with a bad cold and the darn blender decided to take a 'vaca' on me today and the girl at work did not show up so I am all by myself today. BUT, I am NOT letting that sway me. I am so excited to start again. So far made to take to work:
Green smoothie (well, sort of....more like a drink with green bits in it lol)
Vege juice
Soup
Hope to be able to leave work to get a salad, I have olive oil and lemon for a vinagrette.
Zuri - BTW...my kids just LOVE the raw desserts. At least it is a place to start, right?
Have a good day everyone!

Happy Day 1, rawbies! :)
Breakfast: green smoothie - apple, bananas, lots of red chard, blueberries, water
Lunch: leftover corn chowder topped with 1/2 avocado diced up
I also have fruit and some nuts for snacks if I need them today. I think dinner will probably be salad, although I have leftover zucchetti from dinner last night, so I might have that instead. Or maybe both. :P
I'm thrilled that I've stayed raw so far this week, so I'm heading into this challenge on a high note.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Hey Rawbies, happy December 1st. :) Raspberry, that's great news, I'm glad to read it. It's raining and windy like no tomorrow here in Baltimore, but it definitely feels very cleansing. I grabbed what I could grab for today, which will suffice. I can't wait to go to the market and re-up! I'll be in here off and on throughout the day and post my eats later. I'm blissed ouuuuuuut, oh yeah...keepin' it goin' too. :)
Have a grrrreeat day all! :D
Hi everybody! It looks like you're all off to a great start :D
I started the day with 2 bananas & raw almond butter, then went for a walk with my dog.
Lunch/snack #1 was an apple & a Lara Bar, then lunch/snack #2 was a green smoothie w/ 2 bananas, frozen strawberries & cherries, spinach and water that I just finished!
Dinner will be a huuuge salad w/ romaine, carrots, red peppers, cucumbers, half an avocado and apple cider vinegar with just a drizzle of olive oil. And probably another apple before bed!
I am also going to take my dog out for another walk- on my days off from work she gets an extra walk ;-) Plus I'll either walk or run on the treadmill, probably walking hills for an hour since I don't feel like running today!
Have a GREAT day! I am excited to be sharing this journey with all of you!

HAPPY DECEMBER 1st!!! I woke up to bit of snow falling this morning, it was so beautiful.
BREAKFAST- Oat groat porridge pg 200 (RFFE) This is so good and filling!!
LUNCH - Green smoothie, left over from yesterday (Banana, apple, blueberries, spinach, kale, wheatgrass, flax meal)
SNACK- Pineapple, cantaloupe, cherries
DINNER - Making Wild Rice Salad. You can put any veggies you want. Today im gonna put (Sprouted wild rice, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, onion, red bell pepper, apples, mixed greens, olive oil, garlic, cheyenne pepper, salt and pepper
DESERT- Going to finish off that Date Nut Torte i made the other day....SOO YUMMY!! I could seriously eat the whole thing!
I made some Coconut Macaroons, they are in the D now!! They are soo good and super simple too make.
Recipe:
3 cups dried coconut flakes
2/3 cups agave nectar
2 tbsp virgin coconut oil
Dash of vanilla extract
* If you want Chocolate, substitute the vanilla for about 2/3 cup raw cacao powder
Mix all together and scoop out with something that is round shaped like a melon baller. I used one that is in between the size of a melon baller and an ice cream scooper its a measuring spoon (about a tbsp worth) . Pack the spoon tight and drop on the dehydrator sheets. dehydrate for about 16 hours or so....My temp is set at 112. Makes about 25 macaroons.
Hope everyone has a wonderful raw day!!! :D

Hi everyone. Oat groats, fresh and dried fruits, salad, icecream (so simple to make but perhaps not right time of year for the UK!), lemon biscuit (also really easy to make).
Stayed raw with no hardship despite hubby announcing everything he was cooking for himself. Didn't stop him wanting some of my choc banana icecream! (He LIKED it.)

After lunch I got hungry again so I had to add a banana and a mandarin to my lunch...I also added some mandarin juice to my Dinner GS... but it wasn't very tasty!!... I think I'm gonna have to add more fruit to my smoothies or else I'm gonna have to quit very soon...
Just kidding... I don't want to quit... I feel great!!...

Hope everyone had a good day.
My dinner was simple but very tasty:
Red leaf lettuce used as a wrap with cut up tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, red onion, and coleslaw made with vinagrette. Yummo!!
Also had 2 chai spice macaroons.
TOok my son to the doctor - has an ear infection. Had one dose of antibiotic and already with the "D" :(.
I really enjoyed my first day back to raw. I am so pleased with myself that I made it through even though it was a difficult day. I can't wait to try something new tomorrow. I was flipping through Alissa's new book and EVERYTHING sounded so yummy! Have a good night :)

Hi all! Mama I hope you feel better and Raspberry I hope your son's ear infection clears up quickly. I try to keep up with posts but it's way too many. I did read everybody's though. :)
Today was great! I was in a group situation and someone walked around handing out something cooked and when they got to me I said, "I'm good." Of course, they insisted and put the stuff in my hand, so I took them...then waited until they weren't paying attention and put the things in my pocket. At first I felt pressured then I thought, NUH UH, this is me I'm doing me! So, I threw them out of my car by way of the window after I left. :D It felt kind of silly not eating the things as it was only two but it wasn't raw and could have led to cravings.
Aaaanyway, eats today:
24 oz distilled water w/lemon juice
green smoothie with baby bok choy, collards, pineapple and bananas
large salad of gr/red romaine, purple cabbage, carrots, gr onion, 1/2 an avocado, gr olives and dill dressing
Lara bar
It's time to change things up, but I can't get to the market for a while! EEEEK! I'll be fine though. :) Still blissful and it feels great!

Zuri - yah for you! Sometimes you have to take it because of pressure (I know what you mean) but you don't have to eat it. You are committed to you and that is just great! I will think of you when I get offered all the goodies that will be coming into the office this month and be strong.
