Yea, I've had that problem before... Buckwheat can get stank on ya!
Rinse it REALLY well and drain several times. It happened to me one day while making Buckwheaties, so I lefi it on the mesh sheet and washed it well and it was ok... It may have been old out of the store, too. I recently had to chunk some myself recently. If yours smell moldy or when you rinse & rinse it still smells bad, I'd prob chunk it & restart again with a fresh batch...

I took them out of the D and rinsed them again..they seem to be fine now. Thanks so much for the advice. They could be old, or maybe i just didnt rinse them well enough throughout the process????

Hi! I had a different issue when sprouting and dehydrating buckwheat- it looked the same afterward as it did when I started! Why couldn't I just have eaten it as it was?

If it looked the same after as it did before, then it may not have actually sprouted. You want it to actually sprout - it will grow a tail if you let it sprout longer. Then go ahead and dehydrate it. I hope this helps! *Ü*
