Hello Everyone,

Can Dogs eat grains and/or seeds cooked or uncooked?
I'm planning on introducing my 2 1/2 year old dog raw food but I was just wondering if it's safe to feed her cooked or raw grains.

Thank you all.

Grains Generally are not good for dogs, and many are allergic to them. I would keep them out of there diet if possible.

Hi Adriana -

I am currently feed our dogs raw veggies with cooked grains and beans. I tried raw meat with raw veggies for a while, but since I am vegan, did not feel right for me. Dr. Pitcairn's book has recipes with cooked beans and grains and I have read other places that they are fine for dogs.

@: Sinthia, Thanks for your quick response and feedback.

@:TaupeRawMan, That's What I thought, but I wasn't sure, Lately I'd been feeding My dog Cooked rice mixed in with her regular dried dog food to get her prepared to a better food choice for her, and she seems to be fine, I wasn't quite sure if I was doing a right choice though.

Thanks.. :D

My dog does significantly better with a species appropriate diet.
