not sure if his should be posted here or in personal growth.
Please share your personal experiences of healing using EFT. What did you heal? How long did it take? Have the results lasted? How often do you practice? How to best learn the technique? Have you seen The Tapping Solution? And anything else you would like to share.
I am ready to heal from tramatic experiences of self induced abuse. I am ready to let go of the anger I feel. I ready to heal from the tramatic birth experience of my daughter. I am ready to heal my liver, horomone imbalances, skin issues, & food allergies.
Thank you for sharing your experience, guidance,& support.
Be well

I use it and teach it.
How long it takes to resolve issues depends on each person and the issues involved.
I own the vid and the book.
You can learn the technique from You Tube vids, my site, ~ lots of places. To REALLY get the effects, best to do it with at least one other and/or with a group.

Ummmmm, what is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Technique... often called tapping. I've got some examples on my site.

My boy is 11 now. When he was still in a stroller, which would have to be about 9 years ago, he was screaming bloody murder. So I started tapping for him while I was pushing the stroller. I tapped my points, and I forget what I said, but I tried to put myself in his position, to feel what he felt. He stopped screaming IMMEDIATELY.
At about the same time, my wife had been hammering in a small enclosed space, a closet. She got ringing of the ears for weeks. So, she tried EFT. Within 10 minutes the ringing stopped and has not been back.
Isn't EFT wonderful!!!!!!!!

Why is it better to do it in a group? You know when you tap and you remind yourself of the problem - I've been watching a lot of Jerry and Esther Hicks videos lately and they advise you to not talk about your problems. I've tried EFT but I sort of cringe at the reminder stage. Wouldn't it be better to do affirmations at the same time? Please enlighten me, I'd appreciate it :)

It's better to do it in a group because of the focus and energy. A "group" could be 2 or more people.
When people don't accept and acknowledge where they are, it's more difficult to move forward. Ya gotta start from where you are so, the reminder is there for that. The thing to do is finish with the positive.
I, like you, cringed at doing the set up statement. For instance ".... even though I'm 30 pounds overweight, I choose to accept and honor myself"...
Believe it or not, many have a hard time accepting their weight; their issues, etc. yet, without doing so, where does one start? Oh! I'm not fat, I'm fluffy.
O.k, so the set-up statement says "Even though I'm fluffy, I choose to accept and love myself"....
In your mind, you KNOW you're 30 pounds overweight! The sooner one can accept the truth, the sooner they can move past it.
Without accepting and acknowledging the truth, the practitioner has to assist the client in the non-acceptance process... "Even though I don't want to accept that I'm 30 pounds overweight... I choose to...."
Consider this ~ I'm in California. I want to go to Texas. I don't want to accept I'm in California ~ I WANT to think I'm in Fla. ~ soo, I begin driving west thinking I'm going to get to Texas. Gotta accept and acknowledge where you are now to get to where you want to be.
I'm 130 pounds overweight. I want to be 125 pounds (meaning I weigh 255). Can't get there thinking you're only 30 pounds overweight...
Does that make sense?

Ok. So you recognize what bothers you so you can clear it. I think I do get it. I've been absorbing all these ideas and teachings (Louise Hay, Abraham Hicks, EFT) and the general idea is to move forward. It's very interesting to synthesize the different world views and try to move forward in my own life. Thank you for taking the time to chat with me about it! It's invigorating to be able to ask questions and have a dialogue about these concepts :) I'm happy I found this community.

I have never heard of this but find it very interesting. It makes so much sense to accept where you are so that you can go forward.... as she hits her fore head and says "DAH".
Thanks for starting this thread now I have new you tube videos to check out and more to learn. I love learning new things about myself and life!

If you go to my website and search in the "menu" section, you may want to check out "Tap A Day to Success"... Lots of good vids on YouTube as well.
