The onion ring recipe in the new book says: Won't last long...
Is this storage info or editorial comment, meaning they are so good they go fast??
I want to make them today for Thursday. Not a problem, right?

I've had a little problem with them staying crispy! I think my problem is that I am not having them stay in the dehydrator long enough. I"m going to try that next time. They are delicious though.

Hi!
Yea, i think you guys are not Dehydrating them long enough...
I think Alissa means they will be eaten fast!!!! *I made them over a week ago and still have some to nibble on (only cuz I make new food almost every day!!!). *If you make a big batch, it'll keep for you in a baggie or sealed container...but, you have to dehydrate them for a long time. Alissa's times in the book are only guidelines. If to cut your onions thicker than she does, you'll have a longer dehydrating time. Here's a photo of mine:
Some I cut thin (cuz I'm like a vulture and couldn't wait!!!! :D)

And, some I cut thicker....

Both were equally as good!!! The thicker ones I just left in the Big "D" for a couple of days....you know, as I'm making other things...
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Tootles!
