I thought it was GREAT! A neat way to shape the "turkey" loaf or "nosted" turkey for your Thanksgiving dinner

Looks a bit vile, the turkey shape doesn't help either.

Whoever made that must not be vegan/vegetarian. If they are then that's a bit hypocritical?

Nah, not really. There are a lot of non raw mock meats and such made in the shape of the animal product. I have no problem with it from a moral or philosophical point of view. Just weirds me out a bit, but I like the ingenuity of it.
Many people (myself included) went veg/vegan for reasons other than not liking the taste of meat, or even for the sake of the animals (I went veg then vegan for human reasons, I couldn't use up so many resources while children literally starved to death on the same planet as me, I couldn't call myself civilised and do this). It really is a matter of personal preference.
Also, for anyone transitioning into veg/vegan/raw, this might be a comforting reminder of their old foods if they need this. :)

Shaping my food that way isn't something I would do, but to each their own.
RFR itself (no idea about the Facebook page, because I don't do MyFace or Spacebook) is a terrific, non-judgmental, non-dogmatic site. Everyone is where they are at.

you didn't offend me at all. i thought it was a great idea for those who want the 'turkey' experience without killing an animal and consuming it's flesh.

It makes no sense for vegans/vegetarians that are into the whole animal rights thing. Why eat something that looks like a dead animal? It's very backwards.

Believe Jackie and Gideon have a "UNturkey" recipe below from their restaurant and possibly way back years also did something similar shaping the MOCK turkey appearance.

It is certainly very creative but for someone like me who is so sensitive, i wouldn't be able to eat any, lol... Meat has always been such a great turn off to me.
Happy Thanks giving!

Because it's not a dead animal! Why does it matter what it looks like? It's what it is, what it's made of that's important.

I wasn't offended by it... (not in my nature to be offended or angry at anything...), it's just not something I would do.
Shaping my food that way isn't something I would do, but to each their own.
Yea, I agree... I don't mind shaping my Raw Pizza dough like a Pizza, but to shape my Raw meal like a dead animal just is not my cup of tea...but, I agree with Pammie, to each their own...:)

LOL funny funny.
I think that turkey would be a huge hit with cooked food people. A great way to get the raw food conversation started, can you imagine the questions. lol Great idea and very creative.

You certainly didn't offend me! Kind of hard to do really, I'm fairly laid back.
I thought it was creative and looked lovely. And no animal was harmed in the making of it, so... WIN!

I think that looks kind of cool..now I am a rawbie that went raw for me not for the few animals I might have saved from being consumed through my not so meatbased life.
As a mom and wife whom still have family that does have a traditional turkey this was a cool thing to see.
Thanks for sharing.

It represents a dead animal. I'll make something in the shape of a turd and serve it to you.

This was my first thought when I saw that picture. Psychologically, it could help some non-raw folks to consider the raw lifestyle. I look at it the same way I look at attempting to recreate my favorite non-raw dishes in a raw format. When you first transition to raw that psychological factor is very important.
