I've always been a big believer in the hydrating porperties of water rich fruits. Often in the morning I'm so rushed I simply pack my bag full of fruits and don't even have time to have a drink before I get on the tram (my son's breakfast and morning hydration is more important as I'm not there to nag him all day! So if time is poor, I can always get myself sorted a little bit later).)

So I get on the tram having often not had a drink and eat fruits such as apples, oranges, pears, bananas, etc. By the time I've gotten to work I've had my breakfast. I have a drink of water when I get to work. I usually go and have a wee shortly after this.

Today my bag of fruits got nicked from the tram! All the thief got for their efforts though was a crappy bag, a whole bunch of fruits and a cheap pair of sunnies. But for me it meant I had no breakfast and no drink (no time to get anything before work). So when I came to work I had my usual drink and went for a wee. To my shock my wee (which is uauly pale yellow, mostly clear) was much darker and yellower than usual, even though I'd had my usual drink!

It really hit home for me just how important our foods are in our overall body hydration, and that fruits play a significant role in my every day hydration!

So just a reminder to eat water rich foods as well as hydrate through the consumption of water. :)
